  • Nowhere fast, I assumed you have the necessity tools at the workshop you're at, so grab a tesco basket, a couple piece of long metal, do some drilling and cutting and bob your uncle.

eddie - be very careful with basket + track fork, the bike handle pretty difficult with too much weight on it.

i have kept my eye out for spare baskets i can use but nothing so far, want to wait until i get my other bikes built, i don't want a basket on my only bike(only one i ride a lot)

could fit this again! what a cool basket...

    i miss that pug :(

  • No saving if he has to replace what he already owns :-)

    was just sayin like

    fork bent

  • That probably why he miss that pug.

  • you know as well as i do that "fork bent" or "is it just the angle, or is that fork bent" is nearly as obligatory as "who makes that??" when seeing an overly stickered bike.

  • The Look forks turned up, steerer is long enough, they are about a 1/3 of the weight of my current forks. Just waiting for new 1" headset and stem.

  • yeah you're absolutely right, but why make the predictable and waste time on something someone else already has done.

I enjoy building the bike as much as riding it, so why not have some originality and experiment. I'd rather ride a frankenstein creation that is shite and built how **I **want it rather than the perfect bike that has been assembled from someone elses opinions.
not sure if this makes sense, but you know what i mean

I'm with you, my guerciotti conversion looks like shit to most people but to me its my favourite bike I ever rode actually, really puts a smile on my face :)

    case in point.

  • just spotted the tag "sumo is a cunt". Does this mean I've made it to DJ levels of infamy?

    it means you're a cunt x

  • yeah they were bent a tad but not badly, the new owner told me he replaced the forks anyway so its all good

was a fun ride though, BB was pretty high, very nippy and generally fun

  • looks insanely fast. i bet it was like riding a dragon.

  • not a current project now, but it was so I might as well post the pics if that's okay...

built it for about £40.50, i did already have a lot of the parts though...

  • dude is that you?

  • Nowhere fast is that really you in the picture?

  • LFGSS Mysteries

  • yeah man, supprised?

  • You certainly came across as younger in your posts.

  • Oh shit is that you?

    [/dissapointed groomer]

  • Got an old Holdsworth Zephyr frame from fleabay a couple of weeks ago :

Paint had a few scratches, but the worst was that the previous owner put Hetchins decals all over, under the lacquer.

So got Grandma a facelift :

  • It's actually a fellow volunteer, he loves his angle grinder

    I'm much younger

  • I'm much younger

  • haha maybe

anyway, grandma's facelift looks great, looks very professional

nice work, who did the paint job?

  • Mario Vaz.
Paint job is quite good, but I already managed to chip a fork after a little knock against my scooter.

  • Personally I think this would be much better - Saddle and bars in the correct position and matching wheels. Mismatched wheels only works when it's a disc on the back.
