you know as well as i do that "fork bent" or "is it just the angle, or is that fork bent" is nearly as obligatory as "who makes that??" when seeing an overly stickered bike.

The Look forks turned up, steerer is long enough, they are about a 1/3 of the weight of my current forks. Just waiting for new 1" headset and stem.

yeah you're absolutely right, but why make the predictable and waste time on something someone else already has done.
I enjoy building the bike as much as riding it, so why not have some originality and experiment. I'd rather ride a frankenstein creation that is shite and built how **I **want it rather than the perfect bike that has been assembled from someone elses opinions.
not sure if this makes sense, but you know what i meanI'm with you, my guerciotti conversion looks like shit to most people but to me its my favourite bike I ever rode actually, really puts a smile on my face :)

Got an old Holdsworth Zephyr frame from fleabay a couple of weeks ago :
Paint had a few scratches, but the worst was that the previous owner put Hetchins decals all over, under the lacquer.
So got Grandma a facelift :

nice work, who did the paint job?
-

Mario Vaz.
Paint job is quite good, but I already managed to chip a fork after a little knock against my scooter. -

Personally I think this would be much better - Saddle and bars in the correct position and matching wheels. Mismatched wheels only works when it's a disc on the back.
