  • desperation is getting to me, I started download Dexter...

  • you probably have - but have you seen 'oldboy'?

rest of park chan wooks' vengeance trilogy?

    always worth revisiting.

  • OK then, Memories of murder, Korean crime film, from director of "host" about the giant monster in Seoul.

    similarly PTU by johnny to.

Spanish Prisoner, Dave Mamet? Don't see it about much

Hard to think of films that aren't that well known

  • this is a pretty good filum

  • Trailer of the year; but needs a dubstep refix

seen then all, but will watch the other two, not Oldboy as I watched not so long ago

Memories of murder is a good film

havent seen Spanish Prisoner, and Dave Mamet was not in my known list, I will invertigate a bit as it looks good

this is a pretty good filum

will do sir. normally Murtle I always agree with your recommendations

  • It's a great shame too as her performance in Léon was fantastic.

Completely agree, Leon is such a great film.

  • It's a great shame too as her performance in Léon was fantastic.

Mick, I haven't seen that, but I'd be intensely surprised if in it she was playing anyone other than herself. One of the secrets of acting is to make people forget who you are. There are very few prominent actors working in film who are capable of that. Judge no 'performance' by a lesser yardstick.

  • Oliver, if you havent seen Leon yet.... we have a problem

    That looks awesome.

I think 'Sympathy for Mr Vengeance' is my favourite.

I didn't really enjoy 'Lady Vengeance' anywhere near as much as the other two. Can't say why though.

  • try this

or just wait for the inevitible US remake starring julia roberts.

  • moon is directed by David Bowie's son

Which is where its interest begins and ends. Boring. Reveals its twist about halfway through, then spends the remainder offering nothing else. I thought it was terrible.

  • ^yeah

Oliver, if you havent seen Leon yet.... we have a problem

Surprisingly though he get's natalie portman's performance perfectly.

  • watched priceless on iplayer the other night. tres jolie....Audrey looks totally stunning!!

  • someone was playing Yann Tiersen on the piano at this work do I been at,
    it was delicious

    Audrey is gorgeous

Moon- liked the curious ness of it, but like EB said there was lots of familiar territory,
wouldnt say it was rubbish though- it was engaging.

going to 127 hours sat, it raised the conversation level at film discussion group I go to a new pitch on monday night- looking forward to it now.

If anyone is able can you help me to promote this more by farcebooking it and all that bollocks, it turns out that the one Im promoting at Poole is 669 seats in the theatre!
    should be great show.

The London dates are on the Locations tab--check em out- section of "lifecycles" will be shown

"With sold out shows across the UK in 2010, the UK Banff Tour is heading to Poole for the first time. Shown in over 30 countries, the Banff Mountain Film Festival brings to life the spirit of extreme adventure, remote cultures and the world's last great wild places- all through the big screen. Be amazed with an extraordinary collection of inspiring films from the world's most prestigious mountain film festival."

  • Oliver, if you havent seen Leon yet.... we have a problem

I'd suspect that we might rather have a problem if I did see it. :)

  • Where's that badly-drawn 'Problem?' face when you need it? ;)

  • +1

    Definitely overhyped.

Though I love it for the memes it has produced.
    ...

I disagree with you on the overhyped part, I think Inception is great, watched it quiet a few times now and I still find new elements each time I watch it. As for the memes part you are quiet right. Check out the South Park episode!

  • New version or old? Either is superb. I'm a HUGE fan of the Bale/Crowe version though.

    +1 Me too!

  • Shame she can't act. :)

You need to see Black Swan then, she can act just fine. Don't go by her dreadful performance in the new Star Wars movies.

  • go by her shitty stuff in other films instead

  • Trailer of the year; but needs a dubstep refix

That does look good, better than that Skyline crap that came out a few months back.

  • go by her shitty stuff in other films instead

I know what you are saying Leon for her set a really high bar, since she was only 13 at the time. But there have been other good performances, Heat (Not a major role, but still important), Garden State (One of my favourite films), Closer (Not a fan of the film, but she was good.) V for Vendetta (She shaved her head dammit!) and The Darjeeling Limited (Okish film, again she was good.) I haven't seen Goya's Ghosts or My Blueberry Nights yet but I will get the DVDs at some point.

  • you proved my point. She's not shit, she's just nothing, not noteworthy, which makes her shit

    Her best performance:
