^^Ed is right, it's the 2nd gen frame with the original fork. Ordered directly from BMW. Here are the forks for comparison.

Started sanding the nasty decals off the carbon components of my Longboard. I had decided to live with them. But I'm afraid I may angry the bike gods by putting such flashy looking components on such a nice frame.
Planning on using standard fine sandpaper, to remove most of it, then finish off with something ultra fine. Have'nt done this before though, so any tips gratefully recieved.

Cheers. Tis awsome to ride, but looks a bit thrown together. Looks good in that pic because you cant see half the shite painted on the carbon parts.

Finally done: Twin Chicks
The Brown Bike is a 1977 (?) Time trial machine, that has a lot of innovative features, such as a self made a-head set system and self made bullhorn bars, which must have been unheard of at the time. It also uses a smaller frame like the mirco tt's of the 90's. seat tube is 52.5 ctc and headtube is 54.5 ctc. fits a 57cm rider.
Components are mostly original
suntour superbe mech and lever (original)
stronglight headset, bb and cranks 57t chainring (original)
campagnolo super record brakes and hubs on silver super champion rims
weinmann straight bar levers (original)
3ttt sl saddle with alloy undercarriage
suntour superbe pedals with christophe clips and straps titanium bolts (original)
regina chain with hollow pinsThe blue bike is a 1979 (?) 57cm square track bike that came drilled for front brake, so i set it up as a short ditance fixed tt with components to mirror the brown bike
Components:
TA track chain and bb with 51 1/8 track chainring (original)
stronglight headset
campagnolo super record brake and hubs on golden or rims (original)
3ttt track stem, track bars, 3ttt record seatpost and 3ttt barplugs
cinelli univanitor track saddle with alloy undercarriage/ tuning fork
suntour superbe track pedals with titanium axles, christophe clips and straps
wipperman track chain

You sure? every part of the frame scream 2nd generation while the fork is a 1st gens that they [produced again due to demand*.

Just been told off by Rik for posting my new frame, powder-coated at Armourtex, in the Armourtex thread.
According to the Spaniard, it is a current project:RAL 1035 Matte finish.
Just got my b.day present to myself, from Armourtex.
Ottadini track frame, 531c tubing, Suntour track ends, very nice lugs.
