That's because there isn't any. It's only just been announced. None of the phone companies will promise anything yet.

True. Maybe I should have got a handset direct. Balls.

Up to your handset manufacturer and your carrier (or you, if you flash it with a suitable ROM).
Is that a simple thing to do? I know nothing about andriod and haven't had mine a week.

I read on twitter there was no SD card. For realz? What are they playin' at? I hope it has a lot of onboard storage..
16Gibbis I read somewhere, but I have nothing to cite so consider it a rumour.

Yea, 16GB flash according to
http://www.google.co.uk/nexus/#!/tech-specs -

on the google website for phone comparison it says external storage non but compared to galaxy s it says 32 gb card supplied..
i have a feeling it just means that they dont give an sd card, there is no way they would sell a phone like that without expandable memory!!
I was really looking forward to this but i was expecting so much more...
was hoping they would be using the orion chip but it seems that the handset it identical to my galaxy s, so not much point upgrading as ther are no hardware improvements and therefore only a matter of time till its ported to the galaxy s...

I wouldn't be so sure...
Anyway, 16GB is a fair amount and there's always the internet if you want to access other files.
I wonder if it'll support USB host mode, allowing you to plug USB storage into the USB port. Looks like there's a hack for the Droid to let you do it but I would assume it depends heavily on the hardware in the device.

^ There's no real moderators on that forum, they just copy and paste same shit every new thread.
I was a regular when I was looking for the Xperia update.

Just had an ota update- I was excited, until the phone rebooted into 2.2.1.
Still, it seems quicker, lets hope it crashes less than 2.2

My phone has been going through a really bad run of turning itself off in the cold. I swapped batteries (using the one that went into the canal with the phone now) and it seems to have solved/made the problem less bad. Anyone have any theories on what's up?

i just got an OTA update too...still rebooting. pretty exciting stuff. is the gingerbread man here?
Edit: no. 2.2.1 as well. although I havent been having any crashing going on anyway so i doubt it will change my life at all...

after a few months faffing about and being indesicive I ordered a desire HD today, should be getting it on monday, awesome!
although I am wondering what I am going to do in 6 months and I won't be wearing a jacket to keep it in. I don't fancy a holster

My phone, since the OTA upgrade to 2.2.1 is practically unusable when in car mode- want to press an on screen button? No chance!
-
• #3849
hey, if anyone wants a couple of desire hd screen protectors i'll send you them as, like a dick, i ordered them instead of the desire ones. First come first served.
Oh and if anyone with a desire can tell me how to change the contacts directory from surname, forename to forename, surname i'd be much obliged as i cant seem to fathom how to do it.
