4.8 kg at the moment
Personally I'd rather have brake cables and the extra weight.
I'm not a weight weenie though.

+1 I'm no freewheeling breakless fool

first post on the forum....thought i might as well show my project...
i have built this up myself over the last months and ride it daily. Frame is unbranded and un painted, made in Italy though. Miche cranks, campag record headset, blb hubs, mavic cxp33 front rim and H&son rear, thompson layback spost and Fizik Aerone saddle. Im constantly changing things....hopefully picking up some pista drops for it this weekend....
As soon as the weather gets a little nicer i will be moving most of the stuff onto this though....along with dura-ace hubs, crank set and headset (hopefully)....
hope you like. Gus

^^ you can also see my previous project in the background of the last photo. I stripped back a Fondriest road frame, removed all the hangers etc so just the waterbottle holder eyelets were left and gave it a bit crazy paint job. This will be for sale very soon....

Found the correct chain stay for the C. Unfortunately the paint was damaged a lot. Maybe it will have to be be a repaint after all?

^Did you honestly think it wouldn't be necessary to re-paint it?^^
Good job. -

I like rat bikes and I thought I was going to be able to put some grey rust primer on BB and chain stay and use as is. Restorations are boring, RAT is the new black!

I like rat bikes ... Restorations are boring
Agreed.
I'd just slap a bit of clearcoat over the bare spots and ride it as is.

or rattlecan it black
no, wait, the paint needs to be intact first to do that

Yeah, I heard a perfect, much-sort after paint scheme is the perfect primer for rattle can car-paint.

I don't see what's so funny about mentioning black spray paint all the time. It's only a bike. Supposed to be ridden, not gawked at.
I'd understand if I sprayed black paint onto Mona Lisa's face.

it's funny cos 'people' on here are quick to tell other 'people' what to do with their bikes but then go and do something that 'others' would consider a travesty
like when I got my BJ powder coated black. the original shell suit paint scheme was pretty cool but chipped to hell and rusty, so powder coating was my preference. others still felt the need to tell me what to do

This is one of the frames from bicicletta666, no? Is that a 650c fork you've got on there? And how does the frame ride?

you gonna pinch the stay where the chainring is gonna be?

Yes it will be pressed by a set of specially made wooden pieces for it to look as much as possible like original Cinelli. Just to clarify, I am not doing this myself, although I am used to working with metal this one will be sorted by a pro. One day I will build a frame for sure...

I've pretty much finished my Raleight Royal touring bike, only a few little things left to do.
From this:
to this:
Pedals are temporary, I will probably put my SPD's on. I'll probably chance the seat post for something that matches a bit better.
It's a lovely bike to ride, perfect for commuting/distance rides I have planned. -

good effort man, looks ace.
Here.
Condition - Very Perfect, excellent. Just been powdercoated RAW at Armoutex, matte finish. Looks a bit like Titanium.
Exact measurments: 62cm c-t; 59cm c-c; 58.5cm tt; English threads, Campagnolo dropouts (forks), Ovalized tubing. Really light.
Twin plate fork crown, no dents/dings/scratches...anything. The frame is from 1980 and it is in Mint condition, I hate blue bikes
so had to change it from it's previous colour.
Note: I have only seen that picture of your Aende so please, whenever you can, shoot the same toward me.
