Spotter, that's full of the ulimate win, especially with a Raleigh Royal, I've been trying to get one in my size as I think it's an very understated frame that people ignored because of the 'Raleigh' name, they make a great fast tourer/randos.

I've been trying to get one in my size as I think it's an very understated frame that people ignored because of the 'Raleigh' name, they make a great fast tourer/randos.

I actually picked the bike in its mostly original state (it had flat bars with awful V brake levers) for £45. I often thing big frames look ungainly but its beautifully proportioned, 24.5" and very comfortable. I'll be bring it up to London at some point, you're welcome to have a go. You can also get first dibs if I ever have to get it shot of it.

Made using this that i bought form the
forum

Groupset transferred to a faux Mercian rando build currently in progress.
I repainted the frame with Mario Vaz in gunmetal with hints of silver, moved the brake cable braze ons form the top of the toptube to the non-drive side (done by Mario's brother at Roberts).
The plan was to refurb frame and sell but was chuffed with it so i have add components that i had lying around.
I'll add better photos later in the week together with the mercian.

thanks. it looks pretty good in the flesh. the contrast with the chrome is so subtle.
