My suggestions:

London Victoria to Redhill - Train @ 16:49 (17:22) or 17:21 (17:53) or 17:49 (18:21). Avoids all nasty roads in London, price £34.80 for 4 persons. Suggest 17:21 train; can get 17:49 if you miss it.
Redhill to Newhaven - Cycle 3 hours @ 12mph (pace 15mph in pitch black minus pee stops and punctures).

Get to Newhaven comfortably for 22:00, this should be our only deadline on whole journey.

Newhaven to Dieppe - Ferry @ 23:00 (04:00)
Dieppe to Paris - Cycle, 04:30, arrival time approx 12:00 including pit stops

**we discussed this on the ride to worthing.
i think its a good idea and second the suggestion.
riding out of town on a friday evening is going to be a pain. i'm sure most wil have noticed how friday evening commutes are alway a little more fraught than the rest of the week.
lets minimise our chances or clusterfuck and get the 1649 train.
this should get us out before the trains get too busy also.

Dunno if you were replying to me but I meant could wools, benjam, laner confirm what they're doing as they haven't posted for a while.

Also anyone want to buy any of these for the ride? I bought some cases/boxes this summer but then the car accident happened and I didn't get to use many of em. Expiry date is like March 2011.

PowerBar Ride Bar, Chocolate Caramel - £1 (During ride, carbs)
PowerBar Protein Plus, Vanilla Coconut - £1.50 (After ride recovery)

When I did my charity ride from London to Paris I used a sachet or two of that 4:1 stuff and it wasn't too bad.

Another thing I used were nuun tablets (also available from wiggle). No added energy or caffeine but they re-hydrate and help if you are particularly susceptible to cramp after a long ride.

I think it's unlikely that wools will come, he got hit by a van in the week.

As it stands, am I the only one up for cycling back to Dieppe on Sunday 7th? If that's the case then I'll probably be out.

Pifko and I have booked the ferry:

Newhaven to Dieppe - 23:00 (04:00), Friday 5th November
Dieppe to Newhaven - 18:00 (21:00), Monday 8th November

Check-in information: You must check in at least 60 minutes prior to scheduled departure. If you're late, you may forfeit your place and in most cases no refund will be offered.
I have also booked the train:

Newhaven to London Victoria - 21:33 (22:57), Monday 8th November

All that's needed now is the train to Redhill. Wanna get that booked soon too so it doesn't cost a bomb.

I am all booked in, except for the train out of London on Friday evening. I am coming back to London on the Eurostar Saturday afternoon. I won't be able to join on Wednesday (I am travelling on that day) but I trust you for the route and stops.
