  • Would be in, but what with gettin kids off to bed wont be out til late...

  • I think that from the 1st of November I will host the Wednesday nights for you guys out of my workshop: It's only 200 yards from the MUGA.

Gives you all some where to meet up, get changed, make emergency repairs to damaged bikes & equipment, access to a first aid kit, have a hot cuppa at half time, etc.

  • Generous offer Gareth, thanks. One does not polo but might just turn up for the tea!

  • Slight technical hitch Guys; The MUGA floodlights were vandalised last night (Monday) and the electrical contractor is not coming to repair them until late this week~~beginning of next week. please pass the word on.

..... I sorta feel like I've let you all down..... .... but we will get a NBP team up, running, and competitive: I'm determined about that.

As for the tea & coffee .... ..... well, you're all welcome to join me ..... but I've only got 8 mugs up at the unit.

  • Sorry to hear that. Lot of damage is there?

  • I sorta feel like I've let you all down...

We kind of let ourselves down. Have had kit for nearly a year and have played about twice as a big group....

I believe Trumpets got a load of kit made up, along with my 5 mallets + balls! Then Ben (benjaminbunny), Dom (look_mum_no_teeth) and Burman (machineisbored) have all got mallets! We really should have no excuse!

Oh and I got a load more pipe, and Keppel is gonna run it through the laithe @ work to neaten the ends up.... Hopefully by the summer we will be ready for some carnage!

  • i should have grabbed some of that pipe when we did the frame exchange the other night, I have a pretty quiet day at work on friday.

If I grab some I can get a load of bits sorted tfor the weekend

  • Sweet bro. Didn't think you worked on a Friday?!

I got some blue and some yellow. When dya want me to bring some over? Or you can always pop over one afternoon/ evening...

Started cold setting the drop outs on that Fuji Alegro! The rear should be reduced and the legs expanded by next week (Gem asked what I had been doing in the shed, to which I rather whittily replied "trying to spread your legs!" Heheheheh).

  • Hahahaha I'm already disliking this rain! Already slid out haha I need to readjust the skids to wet ground I forgot how much easier it is compared to In the dry. Whoops haha

  • Gav - I have got those bars @ mine!

Jack - Get some decent tyres!

  • Yeah, overtime on friday, need some extra pennies to pay for my Boston trip.

I'll figure it out, I'm heading to Donnies tonight, so could probably pop in on the way over and pick some of that pipe up.

I hope that frame works out for you, I didn't realise it was a bit wrong!

  • Sorry big boy, only just got the message... Want to hook something up tomorrow?

When you off to get the Geek?

  • yeah, can probably swing by tomorrow after work or something.

Not sure when I'm off, I finalised frame specs last night, they are going to start building in the next week or so.

They have Prolly staying with them for a bit, when he leaves oi'm going, may be taking Donnie with me too.

Need to choose colour(s) very soon, any suggestions? anyone?

  • Pink.

  • I have seriously thought about it....

  • Why wouldn't you? I'm having a similar thing with the road bike. Tom keeps doing all these gorgeous drawings then I keep texting him and saying I've bought a part in a colour that doesn't fit. Think he's going to fire me as a client soon.

    Go pink.

  • I like pink. Shows you are in touch with ya feminine side! Fuscia, baby, baby, vibrant?

  • I'd love something like this:

    http://www.pinkbike.com/news/sharpie-art-2008.html

But not over the whole bike, maybe something coming up the rear stays and around the headset. Shame I'm no where near talented enough, it'd end up looking like a monkeys gone mental with crayons.

  • all my parts for it are black or polished, so whatever colour i go for, there is no chance of a clash.

was thinking bare metal forks and bar/stem combo.

just frame colour to figure out

thought of having rear rim powdered the same colour as the frame too

  • old old pics, but this kind of thing used to be a finish option for geekhouse...

  • Not like.

  • I've always liked the old Klein paintjobs..

  • I don't think that's a Donhou option just yet.

    :)

  • I love that style. you know when jah boy racers come a brappin past in their 106's wit dem a kustom paint jwob and mi big black rim

  • Purple iS the way forward!
