I'm impressed it lasted that long, my Desire wouldn't have got that far... but maybe @Fox you cycle like the wind :-)

No sriously I forgot to turn it off. I don't actually know how to switch 3G off but keep 2G on. How do I do that? I needed the phone on to take texts and stuff.
I can get a couple of light days use from the Wildfire without GPS too, from what I've read their battery life is about the same.
Yes, a huge difference.
WTF do you leave wifi on when you are riding for 75 miles? Also 3G uses loads more power than 2g so unless you need fast 'net set the phone to only use 2g.
If you don't need the map data or the phone itself, just the GPS, you can even set your phone to Airplane Mode.
I'm curious to see how long I can get using the GPS on the Desire now. I can get a couple of days light use without the GPS.
