    I shall search this out.

Thought has gone into the packaging, so I'm justly hoping for something worthy on the inside.

  • The Black Isle Blonde was really nice as well.

No matter what I try I always seem to go back to the Hobgoblin. It's not got the most amazing of flavour but always goes down well and is easy to drink a lot of, especially on tap!

  • i know what you mean about wychwood, hobgoblin is a very good ruby beer, and i like scarecrow too.

hall and woodhouse seem to consistently satisfy my palate with their range of ales, blandford fly and fursty ferret being contrasting yet delicious examples.

  • found one of these leftover in the fridge from a wales trip

i wish I had one more

  • Crabbies Ginger Beer is the nuts!!!

    Oh hang on...............

Apologies. Didn't think that one through. :(

    Crabbies is a disappointment.
If you want alcoholic, beer and ginger in the same bottle:

    This stuff is utterly fantastic.

  • *checks passport for trip to Wales*

  • Chappel http://www.earm.co.uk/events/beerfest.php

We're looking to go on Thursday the 9th. Anyone fancy riding down?

  • hey nahg', we may have very different tastes in guitars but we seem to agree on ales. good work there.

We may indeed sir! I have two guitars at the moment I reckon might be rather appealing to you! A G&L Legacy...

    and a Collings OM2H...

Also got some awesome Dugain picks, Rosewood and Mammoth Bone... Bloody expensive but incredible sound!

  • picked up this little lot from Sharps and St Austell brewery's (and the camel valley sparkling from the eden project shop)

Had a lovely Doombar evening on Sunday. Grows on you as the evening progresses.

  • bloody delicious stuff

  • Isn't that the Wetherspoons dirty cheap bitter?

  • dont know - but i bought a selection of bottled ales from sainsburys at the weekend and this was by far the nicest.

  • get to waitrose, or your local costcutter for that matter, sainsburys got nothing but crap on their shelves (at least the dalston one)

  • Even Stamford HIll Morrisons stocks Innis and Gunn and Fuller's 1845

  • Was back home in Yorkshire this weekend and had these

^both made down the road from home in relatively new breweries

and even though it pains me to say it (wrong side of the Pennines), the tastiest of the lot was:

when in london i try to keep it local (ish) too, so mostly these (not really into Sambrooks, and find Meantime over-priced for what it is):

...so yeah, i like em dark, strong and full of flavour!

  • +1 on the ruddles county

  • catcher on the rye? You playing baseball in peckham?

  • something like that :D

I was re-reading the the book at the time I joined here, had been playing cricket the day before in peckham rye park, and was living up the road as well.

  • Any pubs I can get a pint of stout cheaper than sam smith, £2.41 (in London)?

  • Sam Smiths is £1.99 in London int it? for the Old Brewery Bitter anyway...Only £1.53 in my local back home. VERY popular with sixth formers i tell thee. On a related note, good map of all their pubs here.

In fact, there are ones far enough apart in London to have an organised ride between a few of them I reckon... could even be brave and include the Anerley Arms all the way down in Crystal Palace! Sydenham Hill ftw.

  • ...so yeah, i like em dark, strong and full of flavour!

So, glaring omission of Rigwelter and Old Peculiar.

  • I'm getting more and more into Belgian beers. Just got back from a little trip to Edingurgh, stubled upon a fantastic german pub called The Brauhaus, photos to follow shortly!

  • Right, here we go, these are the three beers i sampled in Scotland, plus a pink one for my ladie friend
