going to go with gum hoods (is the world logo version period correct?) and black/brown or white tape, depending on which saddle i go for - also getting some 28c paselas at the weekend i reckon - l'eroica here we come!
p.s i need pedals too but can't decide on mks or splash out on super records

Nice!
had the same in blue with panto'd group but had to sell it last year to fund a trip to south america... can't say I don't regret it.
Just don't be too precious with it-these beasts are made to ride!

We were in two minds about whether to just renovate it. It eventually came down to cost. Removing components rather than paying to have the old ones repaired/serviced or buy replacements was the deciding factor.

First tube fitting of the Walrus Continental - the extra set of seat stays are going to be part of an integrated rack. hopefully. unless I fuck it up. then I'll pretend I did it on purpose and they are like those arse antennas that cockroaches have. then I'll rename it the Walrus Cockroach.

Finished building up the Webster TT frame I bought on here a while back. It's currently somewhat overgeared (49x15) because I left the 18-tooth sprocket I had for it at the office and had to fit the only one I had handy. Rear hub is a Royce 130mm job as I didn't want to respace the lovely frame. Bars are Cinelli 66/44 with 1A Stem, from eBay (seller** **adzw_33 who was apparently on the GB track squad and has a beautiful custom Raleigh track frame currently going for £200 BTW).
There is always a knee-jerk reaction to save lamentable 80s soft rock album cover paint jobs, but the corrosion pitting where that is chipped might mean the paint has to go to save the metal. It's going to be hard work to touch it up convincingly after rubbing down and treating the rust spots.
