It saddens me when someone takes such evident delight in a fellow cyclists misfortune.
Evident delight?
Hardly-I just looked at the blog after reading the thread and the first post is saying someone has nicked her bike (today).
So, wasn't laughing at her, rather that it is fucking ironic that once you start a popular blog about people being arseholes whilst you're cycling some cnut robs your bike, wouldn't you agree? I think you're being a bit sanctimonious...

Someone's stolen her bike! :[

With the publicity she's apparently received, I can see a free bike making it way to her, some how or other.

did find myself riding deliberately slowly behind a rather comely young lass in sheer leggings this morning. nice stripey underpants she had on too. does that count as harrassment?
/her ass meant NOTHING to me!
You need to ask Jaygee and Skully...

"As a pedestrian, people occasionally shouted comments as they drove past, but this didn’t happen more than 3 times a month usually"
That's not normal, is it? Sounds like Ms. Foster manages to draw attention to herself regardless of whether she's on a bike or not. Would love to know why.
I've a couple of guesses... More reason she needs to get to drinks. :)

^^Looked a bit boring to me. I find it hard to focus on picture-less content. What's it about? I'm sure some cleavage or thigh shots would help my attention span

Wanker #1
Our first wanker was angry that a bicycle was on the road. He hit his horn whilst behind me, whilst I was waiting in the cycle box at the traffic lights. As he turned at the junction alongside me, he continued to use his horn. At the next traffic lights, he rolled his window down to shout “You stupid fucking slut, get off the road and onto the pavement, you stupid bitch”. He was in his company vehicle, so rather than rise to his bait, I took my iPhone out and openly took a photo of his registration plate. For some reason this shut him up.
The company in question is Cannon Hygiene I’ve written to them to tell them about their driver, and will update if they get back to me.I can feel another Evening Standard story coming here...
Well done to the blogger, it's tone seems pretty spot on.

Hello! Interesting reading, and thanks for your comments. I will come to drinks! Not this Tuesday, but maybe next Tuesday. I'm not a shit cyclist, and I tend to avoid confrontation. A lot of other women have emailed me with similar, more harrowing stories suggesting it is very widespread and there are a lot in the comments on this post: http://fforphilistine.wordpress.com/2010/08/08/why-i-started-a-hundred-and-one-wnkers/#comments Yes, my chain probably did need fixing: i can clean the chain and fix a puncture, but that's about the extent of my bicycle maintenance abilities. yes, there were 6 in 3 days initially, but there weren't any over the weekend, and I think it's mostly to do with the fact I cycle at least 30 miles a day, always on main roads. So it's actually a tiny percentage of people who are prats. And now some bratchild from beckton has nicked my damn bike just when I was enjoying this whole project.

Was your bike like this one?
I can't see why they'd nicked it, unless it was locked with those tiny cable lock.

Good luck with your bike. Bummer.

Identical! but a dark pink/purple colour. It's in the middle of an estate, so I reckon the kids just grab them for laughs. I was in the shop for 15 minutes! Grr.
