Hey, I hope I'm wrong but I can already see a whole heap of problems with trying to get people safely out of the car and then another lot safely in, inside of 30 secs. I'm thinking that the cars need to be constantly moving to keep to that kind of timetable. It takes longer than that just to fill the lift at Covent Garden underground station...then someone doesn't stand clear of the door etc etc etc. I won't pretend I gave it a lot of thought but at first glance I see fail.
it's plenty.
if there's enough cars, then there's no problem in trying to get in the car, if you missed it, just wait for the next one.
work well with cable cars in the alps, and remember they were lugging ski/snowboard and walking like 2pac with a hot coal up their arses.

Frink: Mwa-hey, bwa-hai. The compression and expansion of the longitudinal waves cause the erratic oscillation, you can see it there, of the neighbouring particles
A little girl attracts Professor Frink's attention
Frink: Yes, what is it, what, what is it?
Little Girl: Can I play with it
Frink: No you can't play with it, you won't enjoy it on as many levels as I do... Mm-hai bw-ha whoa-hoa. The colours children. Mwa-ha-lee -

I hope you're right, Ed. I'm just gonna wait and see how long it is before the Metro's reporting on some random managing to get themselves Darwinned/ massive delays due to some overlooked safety issue. That seems to be how it usually goes in this country.

Also this country specialises in extreme scepticism and pessimism* about potentially exciting things like this much needed thames crossing
*apart from the exteme unnfounded optimism when it comes to englands football performace

I'd say I'm more jaded than sceptical. I wasn't joking when I said I hope I'm wrong, but lots of things work in other countries that don't work here.
