  • I usually leave a note along the lines of 'your bike isn't locked to anything you unbelievable bellend'.

  • When something like that happen, I usually make a point by moving the bike somewhere completely different but viewable to the owner so he can find it.

hopefully it's enough to make the owner realised that the bike will go walkie if he keep this up.

So you pick up someone else's bike and walk away with it (albeit not very far)?

I wouldn't look forward to the day the owner is around to see you walking off with their bike, and you have to explain to them that you were just "teaching them a lesson."

  • The bTwin single speed is apparently only £69! My cranks cost more! Maybe his strategy is 'Fuck It, if they nick it I'll get another one.' I'm intrigued, I want to check one out now. Since I have seen a few about.

    Ideal pub bike methinks.

    Uhh...

  • Saw these 2 today, first one outside work near Earls Court and the second one just off Lordship Lane in East Dulwich.

The Hardrock looked pretty much brand new - no mud or grease anywhere on it and the wheel in 2nd photo is also from a Specialized and also looked quite new - is it something about Specialized owners that = lock fail?

  • He/she/it is a noob. Isn't forum protocol that we lightly oil them, then set them on fire?

    What's with all the friendliness?

This is very wrong bad. We must impale then set alight.

  • Thanks, Carson :-)

And GA2G, I've just doused myself in petrol for not resizing the images. It's been an emotional hour of attempting to post.

    I need a drink.

  • the second picture is quite a good way to lock a front wheel, maybe he just needed to lock the wheel and took the rest of the bike about his business

  • i love it when they take the QR skewer as well.

  • the hardrock has another lock around the seatpost!! insane....

  • It's to protect the saddle from being nicked.

  • my point being that a lock that length could get saddle, frame and rear wheel. Looking back at my original post... that wasnt made clear!

  • not trying to be sexist but the specialized allez was definitely owned by a woman

  • whatever their gender, at least they did not try to park it in the boot of a car

  • touche james

  • I've got same lock, but i didn't think about this way to lock it. Will try . Thanx !!!!! :))
