i run on 50 posts per page and got to say that last had some awesome rides on. looks like everyone is stepping up for the summer.
shame not to see any lightweight ally or carbon there but just loved these four:
Crisping G - lovely work dude. like henry i like holdsworths too though have never owned one. and there is something just perfect about white decals on a red bike. one day i will have a red bike.
Fruit that Tommasini is one of the nicest road bikes i have seen in ages. and there have been lots of pretty ones recently. looks like it would be one smooth ride.
Crows, that Rossin is an absolutely beautiful classic.
And then followed by Tomasito's Rourke. i miss seeing you roll on that round the streets - like to think about that seeing some track action.
keep up the good work all

Has this been puppy killed???
I see what you mean, but when I decided to build my own bike about half a year ago I still had a lot to learn and halfway into the build I started realising it might be nicer to build it up a bit more period correct etc, but I just didn't want to go through all the trouble of selling, finding, buying and waiting for the right/nice parts again. Just wanted to ride it, so I stuck to my innitial plan.
It's not thát bad as a first build, is it?
I might build it up more period correct once or sell it and build something new, if that comforts you. ;) -

been working on an oldie, also 'period correct'. almost done, think it deserves a black saddle and way better pics. quite pretty these galli parts, a nice change from campagnolo ad infinitum

Finally rebuilt my 20 year old Vitus 979. Rescued from the garden shed after being neglected for far too long. Stripped, cleaned & polished. Campagnolo C Record, Croce D'Aune & Chorus. Omega Strada Hardox V Rims, Regal saddle, Simplex retro friction shifters, Sachs Maiilard 13-23 block, Cinelli XA stem & 63 40cm bars. Looking for some CDA 172.5mm cranks, anyone?

And this is how it was...

Peugeot Vitus^ is loverly!
As is Tomasito's fucking ace rourke <.... drooool.
That Faggin^^ looks beautiful, peter v. Really nice. Do you know you can get gum Galli hoods from campyoldy, for not much wonga? I used them in absence of any Campag ones (for less than £50), be careful if you get em though, they seem to stick to ally, maybe a bit of talc inside would help.
@soperRiva fixed single (your Royces) at the moment. I have been toying with the idea of a S3X a bit though. I didn;t put any brazeons for a cable routing & adjuster though, but I assume something could be clamped on somwhere if I wanted to try this. And considering selling all the other bikes that seem like utter old shite in comparison. Which they are.

Carl, your bike looks pretty hot but is in need of black bartape/hoods.
-
• #29240
Naaah, white tape always wins. Maybe black hoods though.

The other current projects this week have been total standouts! What I was wandering was has someone cut the deraileur hanger off the bike - tt bike no more :(
-
• #29242
Yeah, mine got a bit overshadowed there, haha.
But now I get the 'puppy killing'..
Previous owner unfortunatly sanded the whole bike and cut the derailleur hanger, so then I decided to just clean it up completely, cut the other 'unnecessary' parts and have the holes weld up. -

@atanz: i see these nice frames in your possession and non of them seems a real stunning build. but for the one posted on the last page, with the red bars, i'm sooo not feeling it.
the front end needs sorting out. get a silver stem to go with the cranks and seatpost, black bartape is a must and to keep it a bit kinky, i might suggest a powdercoated green set of drops.
tape them up to about 2/3rds and it'll look just right so they pick up the green where the zipp logo started without taking it over the top.
to make it a real favourite (of mine, anyway) it should be a modern threadless front end and pref straight forks but the forks now, look quite ok, too.
as i can see from the other bikes you own, it appears you have the parts already, bar the stem. go on and make that one a stunner, the frame and omfg the set of zipps deserve a bit consideration at least.
man, how i'd love to get my dirty mittens on one of those.
there, i said it!

^ wow, let me show you pics of my builds for some free advise! :)) meh, maybe later...
-
• #29245
Put them all in a Blendtec then DO breath the resulting bike smoke.
-
• #29246
on a second thought, this might be even more classy, if the gt logo where to be green.
some vinyl decals cut out?a silver stem and bar with black tape would work nicely.

• #29248
That Faggin is lovely.

oh, hang on :S
