  • Cheers joe. I've been too busy riding it to get a half decent photo. And the steerer's uncut so I loathe to have a pic of it up just yet. And I want to fit some nice mudguards I have for it: it's meant to be a Road/path.

We never spoke on the ride. I was admiring your lopro, dude. Seriously feckin nice. Are those Mavic track hubs front & back?

    cheers man :)
yeah both mavic track hubs to mavic open4cd, took a while to find a match.
the silver thomosn bits are awesome as well, i was thinking that kind of combination would work and it obviously does.

  • [EDIT: bar the bars it does look good... its just reds and pinks are always tough to match]

Do you know why!?... because they don't ever match, ever.

Lovely ride though atanz, really well done, I'm particularly loving the chainset... I have the same ring, waiting to get the cranks.
Which chain width are you riding, 3/32"?

  • Do you know why!?... because they don't ever match, ever.

No, I mean reds are hard to match, and pinks are also hard to match.

  • OK, lol, but never pink and red. It's a sin.

  • nice GT

  • a question on GT there, what's with the saddle position? innit a little up-pointey, esp considering stem/bar angle? just asking... (how many GTs do you own, man?)

  • nuknow - the chain is 1/8" its all track
crispin glover - I hope to be back in London again this summer for some riding! I'll keep you posted.
scorch - the saddle is level - saddles should always be level. the top tube slopes downward.
I have 4 GTs, the Pulse, 2 GTBs and the Team USA. I little overkill, I know - one of the GTBs is on loan to a friend.

and to all the pink and red haters - lots of things are pink and red - I love pink and red together!

  • almost finished the rossin pista, after hours of cleaning the shit covered rims (dont think they'd been cleaned for 30 years) they look ok, just pedals to go.

  • wow..

  • This page is 531.

    CG - beautiful.

Lovely Tommasini, Fruit. Can you not have both wheels and switch them as your mood dictates?

Lovely Dave Yates, Skully. Hope to see it in the flesh (alongside you of course) soon.

I like the GT too, looks fast.

Finally, Crows, that Rossin is a beauty. Good work.

  • I think this will be horribly over-shadowed by some of the other recent Current Projects, but...

Here is my Charge as it stands - just got some new forks for it, now all that remains original is the frame, and headset:

    Spec:

    • Charge Frame

    • Track forks (31mm rake - has really tightened up the front end) - these have the same crown as surly steamroller forks, with the 3 circular cutouts on the inside, and the heart-shape on the outside - fairly tight clearance with 23c tyres..

    • Thompson Stem w/ 25.4mm Risers.

    • Gran Compe 36h hubs, laced to Mavic CXP33s, Maxis Refuse tyres.

    • Dura Ace cranks - Sugino 75 ring - Surly sprocket - KMC Z510 chain.

    • MKS Pedals/Cages.

    • Fizik Arione (Titanium) saddle.

Still contemplating removing the decals om the frame, though can't be arsed at the moment.

  • yeah that rossin is a great build! super classic. did you find it somewhere neglected? or just the dirt covered wheels?

  • cheers guys, I found it almost complete on italy bay but had a stupidly high reserve and didnt sell, after about two months of communications it arrived and was in a right state, paint is pretty chipped but kinda like it

looks awesome! is it going to be ridden on the road? or track?

  • I'll bet you do! That Tommasini is fuckin' ace.

Here's a little snap Toby (thanks, in advance, Toby) took of my new ride parked next to a rather nice Mercian, on the NDS which is a shame, but hey you never get off a bike on the DS do you? I'll put a names and faces shot up some time when I've chopped the steerer down, fortunately you cannot see that ugliness as it now is in this shot:

Happier than a muddy pig riding this.

    which ride was this?
wilderness, it is lovely! Is the plan a 3 speed fixed tourer? or a fixed, fast-tourer?

I spy SP's loverly Mercian as well. I bike that I was SO jealous of on our micro tour the other day.
anyway, you two are wonderful people and deserve your equally awesome bikes.

The Holdsworth and the Rossin are stunners as well.
I think I like the Holdy more, as I love Worthys, but I've had a thing for rossins since seeing haj's a while back.
    nice work you lot.

  • Fruit, that Tommasini is phenomenal!

  • Harry Quinn now set up for the track. New wheels are Campagnolo sheriff stars to Rigida dp18s and new bars and stem. Just need some black grips on the drops and we're done. I think my bike just doubled in weight though :-s

  • @crows that rossin, is lovely
    @tomasito, always loved that quinn.

true, there are a load of nice bikes on this page

  • @re-cycled - it'll be be down the track in the next couple of weeks, only just started tho so weather permitting
@tomasito love that quinn, new wheels look cracking. OT where did you pick up the wall mount?

  • Wow, the Quinn looks the shizzle at the mo.

  • this page is serious

  • The Mercian is finally getting there! Pictures are super shit but taken on my phone in the fading light this eve.

As it's a Mercian I thought I'd better chuck plenty of campag at it so it currently has:

    Record Pista track hubs
    Centaur BB
    Record headset
    Strada Cranks
    Pista chainring
    Chorus aero seatpost (not pictured)

Fuck NJS, this thing is about 85% LFGSS - have sourced most of the bits from these pages.

Just chucked some bits on to get it ridable and have been hooning round tooting common grinning like an idiot. What a bicycle.

  • ^^^ so mister atanz, not happy with owning one GT that makes me jealous, you had to get another one ?

  • ^^ have been waiting to see what you'd do with the mercian upstart, looks great so far!
