  • ^ Good point, 7600 square taper in my opinion.

    Psshhhhttt.... Super Mighty ftw!

  • Wow! I've never seen another one of these/ This was my hack-bike at uni. Maybe that's my old frame? Sold it to some guy on here...

it is your frame, I think I recall it got changed hand a couple of time.

  • quite nice frame

  • Rubbish.

  • Saddle looks massive.

  • ^nice ride that^, I like it. Probably because the colour is 100% win. Saddle is too near the camera, with that flickwg-seatpost, perhaps?

    it isnt skullys bike.
but skully should post a picture of his dave yates all built up.
    its stupidly nice.

Cheers joe. I've been too busy riding it to get a half decent photo. And the steerer's uncut so I loathe to have a pic of it up just yet. And I want to fit some nice mudguards I have for it: it's meant to be a Road/path.

We never spoke on the ride. I was admiring your lopro, dude. Seriously feckin nice. Are those Mavic track hubs front & back?

  • Cheers, seat 'pin' looks higher than it is too. Never thought I'd get a red bike but I love it now. Makes me ANGRY in a good way.

  • Red bikes are faster

  • nice work mr crispy glove, looks great.

  • Just finished my first real built a few days ago. SS conversion.
Really pleased with the way it turned out.
Need to desticker the front wheel, but will be replaced with either a Zipp or HSON to match the rear anyway. Fork needs a respray into something more silky instead of matt to match the rear wheel and the frame a layer of clearcoat over the stickers, but just couldn't wait any longer with this weather.

  • Nice, loving those forks. If your running SS though, a rear brake might come in handy.

  • pretty much finished with the Tommasini, just need to change a few things.
So far this is my favourite geared bike, rides extremely smooth :)

  • ^ lovely

  • Bloody 'eck Fruit, just how many beautiful bikes do you have? :D

  • usually something between 6 and 10, the ones that are my size i keep and the others i sell, but it takes me a while before i am ready to sell them because i like looking at them :)

  • Lovely, Fruit.

  • i am picking up some Shamals tonight, not sure what i am going to do it with it yet maybe it will look nice on the the Tomma but i kinda like my sheriffstars too

  • I'll bet you do! That Tommasini is fuckin' ace.

Here's a little snap Toby (thanks, in advance, Toby) took of my new ride parked next to a rather nice Mercian, on the NDS which is a shame, but hey you never get off a bike on the DS do you? I'll put a names and faces shot up some time when I've chopped the steerer down, fortunately you cannot see that ugliness as it now is in this shot:

Happier than a muddy pig riding this.

  • finally got around to setting up this GT Pulse how I like it. Initially I thought it was going to be too big for me (top tube too long) but I think I got it dialed in. this thing rides SO SO much better than my GTB. its lighter and the aluminum is not as harsh.

full Dura Ace group (the DA wheels are hangin from my ceiling)
Zipp 440 tubulars with an SSP rear hub, campy front hub
pink anodized, then milled Superbe stem with 3ttt crit bars and benotto cellophane wrap
    Flite saddle

  • Oooooof! Not feeling the pink/red combo though

Take the decals off the rims too

  • the stem and wrap was all i had in my parts bin... but I kinda like it. first time using cellophane tape, that stuff feels so good on bare hands, surprisingly - just ordered more colors today.

and the decals on the zipps are under the clear coat.

  • I say the decals work - even tho decals on rims aren't my thing.

But red and pink?!?... I'm pretty sure GQ says thats a no-no :0

[EDIT: bar the bars it does look good... its just reds and pinks are always tough to match]

  • Take the decals off the rims too

Nonsense. Take the decals off the rims and swap for new Zipp stickers.
