  • My award btw, goes to the French young lady, who despite being on a tiny bike was perfectly positioned and responded in the appropriate manner to my instructions in French. Her Father found it highly amusing :)

  • ^+10000000 for all the love above, for the beautiful ride that was the TWWWEEEETTTAASSSSTTIICC Tweed Run:-)
A massive thank you to Teddy and Jacqui, i doff my cap to you both and all the participants.
    Sniffy x

  • What a great day, so many thank yous
Thank you fellow marshalls for being awesome
Thank you riders for looking great, riding well and putting up with us marshalls herding you around London.
Most of all Thank you Teddy & Jacqui - you both rule.

I'm now at home, feet up, eating chips and watching telly (good call Lucifer)

  • clefty - what no easter egg?

  • I'm eyeing the other half up right now..

  • Absolutely fantasic day. Beautiful weather, splendid clothes, delightful company and wonderful bikes. Thanks to T and J and the marshals etc for all the hard work in organising it.

Here are my photos of the day:

  • Well done to all riders / helpers - smooth ride...
    What a scorcher!
My sincere thanks to everyone for a hugely memorable day - especially J+T & those who didn't get to ride (jon, clare, sponsors, et al.)... not forgetting the drivers, passengers, and pedestrians for their patience and smiles.

Only a bit miffed that I forgot to fit a bell/horn and had to say 'ding-ding!' all day instead

gutted I didn't see this for real, can you do it at polo from now on please?

  • Bloody hell. Lovely photos all round. There were hundreds of you.

Wish I could have made it!

  • Took me ages to edit this post. Needless to say I'd had a few.

  • Big thanks to Teddy, Jacqui and all the marshals/helpers, today was awesome.

Also on a tandem related note, I hopped on my (regular) bike to ride home from Mc_Nebula's only to find I was unable to steer properly. Took a little while to get used to the fact that I was no longer the stoker on a tandem.

  • Been a lovely day.

  • Great pic Ed^

  • I'm envious. Maybe next year......... 'sigh'.

  • Correction: Just seen some pics. Now seriously envious!!!!

  • The only thing that let the day down was JD getting taken out by a taxi driver on the way to the Green man pub. He was ok and the popo were called. JD was taken to the cop shop adn taxi driver was told by the police to go and meet them down at the cop shop. I guess Jd will be on here in the morning to let us all know what has happened.

Any ways a nice day and I hope to see you all soon.

    jimbilly.

It was the bloody night for it. I got taken out by a Peugeot 307's wing mirror on Camden road. Luckily I managed to get a foot down before anything else (which is a miracle considering the trouble I was having with toe straps today!) & rolled on the pavement. Didn't get reg so am now home eating chicken.

Anyway, a massive thank you to all the people involved in making this wonderful event possible today! A thoroughly enjoyable day out and long may it continue!

    Roll on Tweed III

  • What a great way to celebrate my 40th birthday. Thanks the lot of you!

  • Lovely ride everyone! Yet another chapeau from me to J + T for the awesome quantity of work that they both put in. With the help and commitment of all those that helped I think it made a great day for all!

  • way too late to say much. but have to say ted & jacqui you put together a wonderful thing. beautiful from start to finish.

spoke to fellow marshall clara before the ride who was just fully giddy. well giddy is how i endured and ended it. an awesome day of fun in the saddle.

simply put, there was a lot of wonderful people out there today, making happy and filling others with wonder. v proud to be a part of that. sleep well ls & gs

  • Just loaded a load of pictures from the ride here http://www.flickr.com/photos/funny_cyclist/sets/72157623702896825/

  • Wow, I had such a good time today! I'm super happy for those who've organised it that it went so well. The bar has been set extraordinarily high.

Nice to meet a whole bunch of new people too.

    Stay classy London.

  • Going onto Flickr and search 'tweed run 2010' give you a lots of result.

  • Brilliant day. thanks to all involved for it's meticulous organisation and the high spirits of all the riders. Almost no negative vibes the whole day. ('almost' coz dancing james almost got attacked by a coach party of stag revelers -who almost got d-locked by James)

A good call Teddy, all of us riding in one huge group rather than 4 smaller groups, which would have been fragmented so less impressive and harder to marshal. In fact the marshalling was slick we all managed all to stay together and ride at quite a pace. General interaction between the riders/marshalls and other people/drivers was generally mellow and positive (except fot the grumpy cabbies).

Not not able to sleep from so much excitement or is it the effect of the snuff that came in the goody bag?

  • A lot of fun yesterday.
Salient point to remember from last evenings festivities: be moderate in the use of snuff.

  • Utterly fabulous day - the organisation, bikes, clothes, tea, cakes, gin, weather and lovely collective energy. Thankyou to everyone involved!
