  • Teddy and co you did yourselves proud! Was a brilliant day which went smoothly considering the amount of riders, now sitting on the train with sparky drinking beer.

  • Great stuff. Thanks to all involved!

  • & more of the above!

Was great to meet everyone that we did, thanks loads again to Teddy and Jacqui... Hip hip hoorah x3!

on train back now gined up a lottle bit. Will put my cameraphone pics up in the week.

    Andy and Jess.

  • An enormous THANK YOU to Teddy, Jaqui, all the other organisers, marshalls, gin and cake distributors and riders. A truly splendid day out. Very nice to have finally met some of the forumengers, even if I don't quite know who you are on the forum.(But I do know I spoke with Edmundo, Ed, Clefty and Teddy).

I doff my cap, and raise my gin to you all.

  • Photos or it didn't happen.

  • Lets try that again...

Thank you Teddy & Jacqui for an absolutely fantastic day. You have surpassed yourselves.

  • I am sore. all. over.

today definitely went really well, even if it's a little tricky with 400 people and some jumper!

  • Maybe it should be called the Tweed RLJ, by gads did it feel good to be waved through all those red lights. Well done the marshalls, and well done to The Authorities for trusting them.

  • thanks teedy jaquie and all the organisers
    it was brilliant

  • Started out with all good intentions and plans to get there early and have a gentle saunter of a ride down to Pimlico. What actually happened is I set off late, forgot my tools/spare tube etc so turned back, then realised I'd also forgotten water bottle, hip flask, door keys and map to find the start. I now had 45 mins to get from Southgate to Pimlico - so it was a flat out blast and I arrived bathed in a very un-gentlemanly sweat!

However, on the upside, the weather was just brilliant, the company was great and the organisation was top-hole! Well done Teddy and the rest of the gang.

    Highlights of the day:
    The weather,
didn't see anyone get a flat,
tea out of china cups and sandwiches with the crusts cut off,
fab G&T at the finish - served from the back of a vintage Rover 90,
and most of all, spending the whole day with a smile on my face.

NB. just found some cucumber sandwich squished into the tread of my shoes. I might keap it as a momento.

  • I just wanted to say a big thank you to you all, participants, new friends, our lovely and VERY dedicated marshals and helpers. (especially those who sacrificed their day and selves for the benefit of the ride). Lovely day.. you all rock.

  • ^^ lovely bunch of photos! The little girl is so cute.

  • Beautiful day and beautiful company...big big thanks to all involved in organisation and making the day such a stunning success!

  • Teddy, Jacqui, what can I say, but what a bloody brilliant day. That took some doing, and you pulled it off in magnificent style. Chapeau, the pair of you.

Also thanks to Eggpie and Johnny for sorting out BobbinBird's bike.

  • Amazing day that. Thanks SO much to the marshalls and organisers for making it run so smoothly!
I'll upload my photos when I get home

  • Back in Sussex now. That was all very jolly. A big thankyou to all concerned and of course all of you for the spiffing company. Lovely day, glad to be part of it....

  • congrats teddy
    it was brilliant.
    i liked the free gin
if anyone finds a hat on the bridge at the end.
    it is/was mine

  • Great day, many thanks J&T.

  • Well what a nice day? Everything went very well and the gin was very nice! Well done to everyone who helped organise everything its was a good day.

The only thing that let the day down was JD getting taken out by a taxi driver on the way to the Green man pub. He was ok and the popo were called. JD was taken to the cop shop adn taxi driver was told by the police to go and meet them down at the cop shop. I guess Jd will be on here in the morning to let us all know what has happened.

Any ways a nice day and I hope to see you all soon.

    jimbilly.

  • a girl in front of me, on a dutch bike, picked up a flat cap on Blackfriars Bridge.

  • just back to Dorset,
what a truly memorable day, today London felt like the friendliest big city in the world. Massive shouts to Jacqui and Teddy for organising, the marshals pulling together, the riders loving being in a massive group, and the tweed!, never believed there was such a variety and beauty to be found, truly gorgeous.
Loads of great moments, one of which being a huge Jewish family calling out
"Mazel tov, Mazel tov" on Brook st. :-)
Cant wait to relive it all again-(relaxed)-in the photos,
    gentlemanly yours,
    m.f

  • I am very tired.

Thanks Jaqui and Ted for entrusting me with the front of the group. I await with interest the comments from you know who ;)

Specifically to all those who worked with me at the front of the group. You do indeed know who you are. THANKS++++

The rest : Thank you all for putting up with me. ;)
