What a pleasant surprise it was running in to you all (twice!). Nice to see you all enjoying your ride, apologies for dashing off without saying goodbye but had childcare duties to perform.

did you manage to blag a spokecard from them?

We did see andyp and a badger. But one of them was dead. And a bit smelly.

Naysayers can f*ck the actual off! :) We might not have set a blistering pace out there, but we rode decently as a bunch, looked out for each other, and had a laugh. Which was the whole point really.

Rides that are enjoyable? You're supposed to bury yourself in training so that you have to be cut off your bike. What's the world coming to?

I did brake my carbon fibre bottle cage (which is the cycling equivalent of breaking a fingernail!). :-)

I plead not guilty to being the pied pieper (a joke for the roadies there) as Steve was ahead of me and Jaygee and hurtled straight past the turning.

I picked some up for cheap in a bike shop closing down sale a few years back, so not that pricey.
