  • I was not made.

  • I do not know, I just thought that there was a requirement for a polo bike to be singlespeed. Maybe I should actually read the rules.

  • I think you should get it - remember that time you got really mad from everyone picking on you and then went for the charge against an 8 year old boy on a bmx? If you had a second gear then maybe you could have got the snap on him.

  • pretty sure there is a rule saying something about like for like contact too, or are mallets in the front wheel an exception? ;)

  • FYI I did win that ball, and everything would have been fine so long as the other team hadn't encouraged a left handed kid to charge. Also he was wearing a lot of aftershave, anyone that is a player at 8 deserves to be shot down.

  • He definitely won the ball - the red mist had descended and you were just going to take out whoever charged.

Your game is too physical Emmet, you are endangering us all.

  • Lies.

  • Emmet - sit on the naughty step for 5 minutes, think about what you've done and then come back with a smile.

  • Or eat some Skittles.

  • Watch out... The tractor is getting some upgrades.

    Amongst other things.

    Cant wait!!!

  • Just started playing polo and looking to build up a bike specifically for purpose. Anyone got a frame they want rid of? 56-58cm. max £40. Stem, BB and seatpost would be nice too.

    cough http://www.lfgss.com/thread35470.html

    Still available if you're interested.

  • I am also doing some upgrades.

BMX hubs front and rear laced 48 to sputniks.

excited. going to be tough as hell, 4x rear and radial front as an experiment.

  • @dave hills is that for the extra rayt?

  • Haha yeah

  • Can anybody recommend a 39t or 40t 130bcd chainring + bashguard? Not having much joy searching...

    for 40t chainring

but no idea on a bashguard.

  • You can get a 38t 130bcd chainring from ribble for £10. Not particularly strong, but the smallest I've seen.

  • I need strong. I went through too many cheap chainrings early on. The 42t sugino messenger ring i've been using for the last 6 months has been great, but after karlsruhe I reckon I need a bit more spinniness.

Whats the bigest tyre you can get on those?

I have a good 40T. no bash guard though.

i assume 47c, they are very wide.

  • If the ring's good then I don't really need a bash guard - i've managed without so far. Can I get this one off you next time I'm in town?

    Its 1/8th, pretty tough.

  • They're 28mm wide aren't they? SPA lists 28-51mm tyres which sounds about right considering Chukkas are 24mm wide and go to 47mm.
