Sorry, i meant are the legs inline with the steerer and straight?
Some of the Onza forks look like the legs are at an angle to the steerer.Like in this pic of the Tuf guy it eems like the legs are angled forward and the dropout is more inline with the leg
Where as the Fall guy has the leg in line with the steerer and the rake comes from the dropout.
Doesn't make much difference in real life but i prefer the look of a fork that has no angle between steerer and leg.
The type of dropout that's on the Fall guy also allows for more tweaking than would look to be possible on the Tuf guy. -

yep thats why i would want to change to the fall guy, i like the rake being in the dropout and not in the leg. but the fall guy's axle to crowns are 2cm wrong in each size. very annoying.

Boy I'm really tempted to sell the Bob Jackson frame and just get the Scissor instead of using the money to build the Holdsworth.

Yeah i think i remember the guy saying something about that when i ordered mine.
I could measure what my modded a-c is tomorrow if you like?
I basically drilled a 10mm hole just above where the original slot ended and slightly back towards the leg and then cut through to the original slot and shaped it so the wheel would slot in ok.
So i reckon i'v dropped the a-c by at most 1cm but also brought the wheel closer to the leg so reduced the rake a wee bit.
I have to give the tyre a whack to get it out but its no too bad. -

onza should just make a fork for this market.

What about the new DMR fork?

What about the new DMR fork?
which are pretty much these.

And those Identiti forks have different rake options which is good (20, 30 and 45mm)
I think the Identiti persona F+F may be a contender for the Scissor (seems a bit higher priced though) but can't find any decent pictures of a built up persona

Me too, Just phoned winstanleys and both frames and forks are in stock and mine is dispatched monday :D

My Onza forks are now 430mm axle to crown race seat, 375mm axle to bottom of steerer.
I have about 20mm clearance between tyre and bottom of steerer but that'll go down when i put bigger tyres on it.
Ordered a pair of 700x47c Continental Tour Plus Reflex tyres today. -

What size cranks are you using ? (to mechanical vandal) looks like loads of bar spin clearance? people said bar spin clearance wasnt far off from what the cutter is? but your photo looks like there is a fair bit?
-
• #241
I'm using 165mm cranks, barspin clearance is pretty good, not quite as good as i was getting on my Fuji with unmodded dropouts and a 26" wheel but i def dint wanna use a 26" wheel on this.

winstanleys stocks it but i think its out of stock
why not just use a bmx chainiring?I believe the spider is splined so has not got to use bolt to hold it on (the bolts come loose)
Another option is a splined sprocket but not many of those about either. (Tree, Diety)

My tyres came in today, 700x47c Conti Touring Plus's.
Dunno how happy i'm gonna be with them, they weigh a fecking ton! And only go upto 58psi.
I coulda gone for Top Contacts which have a higher max pressure but they retail at over £40 a tyre.
All the other Conti tyres that go upto 47c wide max out at 58psi and i couldnt find anything as wide from Schwalbe, they are about the only two decent tyre brands we get in the shop.
They fit in the frame with room to spare though. -

I am going to try Contact extra lights as they have a claimed weight of around 500g for 42c.
tuf guy has 30mm rake, same as fall guy.
