Hiya Keppel, that would be awesome. I'll bear that in mind.
What do you do at Lotus? I'm over there quite a bit as I cover that area for the local rag. Been through the factory a few times, and got to take an Elise out for a thrash on the track last year.

cool, let me know, I'm sure we can sort something out.
I'm a Manufacturing Engineer, I look after day to day stuff making sure the production line keeps running (look on the internet and drink tea!)
what rag you working for?

Cool job... If you're in the main factory building, facing the test track, then look on the wall just to the left of the right-hand big door - there's a front page from my particular rag there about a little company called Lotus moving to Norfolk.

Right, its my turn to go to the powder coaters. Am biking up there tomorrow to get my BMX frame, forks and bars done as the winter hasbt been too kind on it. Up for gloss black but now swaying more towards a vibrant colour or like burgund or mint green.
Anyone got any thoughts?

Gloss black will always look good but lacks the excitement of colours. I used to have a Townsend hybrid in metallic burgandy, was quite a nice colour.

Is that Ed?
-
• #91
Eddy the Ed of course! Mascot to one of the greatest metal bands of all times!
Also my bmx frame forks and bars all fit neatly in/on my messenger bag... Meeting Simon from Colorcote @ 6.50 in the morning and we are biking up to Hethel! Winner.
Decided on gloss black for the frame, forks (including compresion bolt if possible!) and bars!
Will post pictures when it is all done.

Was concidering getting my frame re-painted. Think it could look quite nice. What are the pricings for a frame Mark?
I was thinking that as i'll be out of the country for a month it would be really nice to come back to re-painted bike. Would also mean I could clean everything else on the bike up for the summer.

Good idea. I reckon I'll take mine apart clean it all down, re grease everything in time for spring.

Just had the thought today when I was looking at its sad/salt condition. Would be nice to have another bike to ride when its good weather, but, it just means I should clean my bike more.

Anyone want to host a Spring Clean session?
Beers, workstands, tools = new clean bike for summer and a nice day chilling.
Is that a good idea, or do I need to take a long, hard look at my life?
-
• #96
A bit of both! Hahahahaha!
-
• #97
That would be great for me if I can borrow some tools, don't have enough to dismantle or construct a whole bike on my own. Sounds like a great idea.

I'd be in for that Sparky, I can bring tools and beer. Work stand might be need but I might just take mine apart on the floor to be honest. Should we put a date down now?
-
• #99
I'd do it at mine, but the situation there is a little uptight. Would suggest Kirsty's place where I am during the week, but she's in a flat. Anyone else?
I can bring tools, workstand and muchos beer. I'm up for picking a date. Most weekends work for me - I just work one in five.

We could possibly do it at mine, only I have stones outside the back of our house. Might be a problem if we start dropping nuts and bolts.
I work at Lotus, And am in my car at the moment, too cold/lazy to ride.
I could pick it up for you, then arrange some sort of collection closer to norwich out of office hours....Discreet, No Long intros etc!
