Problem solved with the Cubika. Turns out that one of the plastic pipes was becoming blocked because the water had started to build up a furry-type lining on the inside of the pipe. Cleaned out and all is well again.

Nice one guys - I've signed her up to a membership with Square Mile Roasters and picked up one of those Grinders to go with it.
That'll do nicely.
Thanks BDW and Brave.

Square Mile Coffee do tasting evenings, not sure when though. Go to their website and sign up for the newsletter. I'm planning on going to the next one if I can!
Is it such a great idea doing coffee tasting in the evening? I'd be lining up an all nighter for afterwards me thinks.
All the same sounds like fun.

i picked up one of these at the market the other day as i thought it would be appreciated here.
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/LA-SIGNORA-Vintage-Italian-Stove-Top-Coffee-Maker-
the one i have needs a good clean and polish but everything is there , the seal is good and the handle has not melted.
a five pound donation to the forum and its yours. collect from south east or south beers or i can put it in my saddle bag on one of the forthcoming rides. cheers all.
Is this feller still up for grabs? I was going to buy myself a one (new) but I'd happily pay a lot less and be giving it to the forum! Also, it sounds like you've worn this one in nicely and given it plenty of flavor!

went to flat white for the first time on saturday afternoon - a bit disappointed with the attitude of the absolute COCK of a girl who works there and served us on the till (american, brown hair) but the bearded chap who was actually making the coffee clearly was a cut above and served me probably the best coffee I've had all year.
well done him :)
