Powertap + Surly Fixxer + Wheelsmith PT conversion axle kit + Conti tyre = plus fucking what?! CONTI?! ARGHH!!!!
that's a lot of modifications you did there man! jeez.. must have cost a fortune. Looking good though, but can i ask, with the surly fixer screwed on, is there a risk of it un-threading when your braking and such ? or have you managed to lock it in place somehow
edit} its splined isn't it ? doh...

Well thi is my first post. I live in the USA . I have three winter projects .
Is a 1889 Brown & Lewis track bike made in Chicago. I need to find a new wood front rim , I have the original stem and bars.

I have a few more projects , but don`t have pictures of them on my computer yet.
By the way I just found this site and love it. -

^ That Atala is fucking nice! And I like any frame with Zeus ends, so that Viner is a winner too :)

+1 nice. something different

are you serious.. 1889? Wood wheels? Ace. I hope it's going to be ride-able and not just to hang in the garage
-
• #17064
Yes I am going to ride it, fix the wood rims and build up a modern set of wheels with Velocity teak rims for everyday rides. Actually it is a 1898 not a 1889 , I flipped the numbers. It looks much cooler with the original stem and bars , just did not have them handy when taking the picture.
Thanks for the comments on the Atala , I just bought it a couple of weeks ago from the original owner , it came an extra campy wheelset , five campy chainrings and 14 rear cogs. I sold off all of the extra parts and got enough cash to pay for the bike, so I guess I can say it was a free bike. -

good man!! not many fixed singulars about (i have an 853 fixed peregrine)
Cool - just thought I'd say.
Its always hard to see exactly how bad the paint is from a pic. The guy who sold me my Mercian said the paint was too far gone and was going to powdercoat.
