  • i said decent looking.

  • ^ +1. Good forks

  • it's a 14, same as mine.

I like the tubing, especially the DT

  • would look better with a straight brake bridge though :op

  • That 14 looks sweet

    Ha!

I found these forks on framebuilding.com going cheap and bought them before my frame arrived. I didnt realise they were supposed to go with an integrated headset but turned out they fit flush with my headset. I now have both forks so can swap them over when I feel like a change (usually in about a week)
    theyre 1 1/8"

  • your frame has a 1" 1/8 steerer???

    strange. mine has a 1".

  • Rob, there are headset that are design for a 1" steerer but fit on a 1" 1/8th headtube, perhaps that what you have? could be a possiblity.

edit - did I just made that up or does it exist?

I could choose either when I placed my order

maybe. it doesn't look like it though(t).

it was one of the first ones they made... so maybe it's just the early ones.
i never did understand why they used a 1" Ahead, it just seems silly.

ahh.... i wish they gave me that choice!

killing two bird with one stone I suppose - threadless and threaded option.

  • Picking up this badboy next week

  • Polo... 39x19, spinny but not retarded like when I was on 39x22 on PizzaBike™... Gonna cut a disk tomorrow and I've already started growing some mallets on the terrace... They grow as quickly as cress apparently... According to H... Anyway, fuck off...

  • you still got the piazza?

  • and pretty expensive to boot, have you thought about the Easton EC90?;

im getting these for my HHSB very expensive, but worth it i reckon.

    340 grams!!

  • not really a project, but finally got my new wheelset done, and everything i want for this bike.

  • what's the wheel?

  • goldtec x open pro ceramic, not the CD just the braking surface

  • you still got the piazza?

Gave it to Aram, he's been riding it in the Sexy Land of Freedom... Poor fucker... ;]

  • Nice one, Mr Crane... Me likey...

  • cheers matey :)

they make spacers for 1.5. thats all i know of.

  • Nice one crane, must've felt nice and light! althought I have to ask, ceramic brakeless??

  • well there are 2 reasons

1 i wanted a shallow rim without a braking surface, or at least an invisible one

2 i thought they were the cd finish when i bought them back in june, although now i dont mind, because it looks like cd finish is really popular now and appearing on more and more bikes, i already ride a track bike i dont want it looking exactly the same as everyone else's
