Fixed riders in Uxbridge? Hello out there?!

Im going to be studying industrial design. i have another friend that is coming down aswell who is also on bike.

i ride geared at the min but think i might convert when i get down to London as its abit flatter that home

Good stuff (I do product design), as I said earlier I'll be riding most days during freshers week then after that at least two or three times a week for drinks/polo/rides so if you want to come along just give me a shout.

It takes around 40-50 minutes to get to Hammersmith from Uxbridge so it's a bit o a drag but the route is easy and you get used it after a while.

I've been out with willesden, kenton, gregarrios and felt a little... fresh faced!

So i end up riding with one or two local mates.

FWIW my mate lives in Hillingdon (which is why I spend so much time there) and we both have single-speeds. Tried the fixed thing, but it just ain't working for either of us yet (Note to self... HTFU. Must try harder). We need some practice around the hills heading out into the wilds, so you'll see us on the lanes around the Chilterns over the autumn and winter.

I see nowhere near as many fg/ss bikes out that end of London than I do going through New Cross. I reckon it takes under 3 mins of standing at the roadside to be guarantee to see one. Fuck, it must be hip round there...

I'm a Willesden member. I've not been on a clubrun for months now though. Was a regular.
You tend to get younger guys in the Quest training bunch moreso than the Willesden clubrun and the few blokes who are my age and race I never see doing either anyway.
I like them because they're a longish ride, pretty easy and I get to see stuff without thinking about a route. The Willesden lot are quite friendly too.

We have one already, it's called West beers.

You guys should come over to polo/drinks, get a mini pelaton going down Uxbridge Rd. With mmcarthy in Ealing now I'm predicting many lonesome rides home.

The countryside within a short ride suggests that a Sunday café might be a good idea instead of diluting the Hammersmith based West Beers, or is that a bit too CTC for you hipsters?

I'm also in suxbridge, on the same course as moog. Will be riding down to wests from this thursday, though, still not fixed, I fear... depends on how much I can fit in my car though...
