hardly. i ride brakeless is because i enjoy the riding experience. you're so much more focussed on the road, having to anticipate things by reading the traffic and road layout. the enjoyment comes from not having a brake to rely on and the sense of mastery you get when you feel like you are riding safely and efficiently without one.
This is exactly how i felt yesterday when i was brakeless. i know exactly what you mean.

i only ride brakeless for tricks, i commute in sub-urban london so it's no where near as bad, i'm yet to ride brakeless in London's famous, not sure if i'd be alert enough.

This is all pretty new to me, as is commuting in London. Having rode Fixed gear in London for the first time earlier today, I found that my Weak Little Falcon Side pull combined with leg force was ample stopping power.

Anyone who rides brakeless on the road is a prat.
Especially when they are pushing 90 GI or something stupid like that.
if your riding brakeless and 90GI your either
A a beast with the legs of a horse
B a retardif you ride brakeless that shouldn't immediately qualify you as a prat, if you ride brakeless and don't know how, you are a prat
IMO

10 years ago, if we see a person riding a fixed wheel bicycles without brakes, we'd automatically assumed that they have skill for lack of a better word.
nowadays, we're more likely to assumed that they're twit of the highest degree.

Okay, never have heard this before.
Why on earth do people go breakless?
I thought I saw someone today without a back break, but I thought that couldn't be right and it's just hidden somewhere. But now, he must of been breakless. But why?
What are the benefits?

If that is aimed at me, no.
I'm a very gullable person, I suck at being able to tell what is a joke and not.

However, when I was young, I had a bike that when you go to pedal backwards, it'll pull of some sharp stop. Like a handbreak I guess.
Is that because of it being some dodgy bike, or do people have bikes like this?
A cyclist noob here, so bare with me with anything stupid I may say. I'm still learning.

What are the benefits?
The benefits of riding with no brakes is so that you cannot stop suddenly. Which obvioulsy, is not very beneficial in London traffic

Yep of course,
mks custom nuevo pedals + mks L cips + mks double straps
will give skid stopping another go tomorow and try the "little jump" to get the back wheel off the ground thus initiating the skid.
