The benefits of riding with no brakes is that you cannot stop. Which obvioulsy, is not very beneficial in London traffic.

The benefits of riding with no brakes is so that you cannot stop suddenly. Which obvioulsy, is not very beneficial in London traffic
if you cant stop suddenly speed up and go around it.
on my way home earlier i had a taxi try and pull out in front of me, the car i was riding along side slowed down to allow it to cut into traffic i could either rear end it or speed up and cut inbetween the stoping car and the cunt taxi.
if you ride brakeless you have to be much more aware of shit like this happening and not be indecisive.
i have only had 1 crash (which was my fault) that could have been avoided with a brake and i knew it was gonna happen about 10 feet before it did.

Depends if you consider Suicide a benefit?

ha, nah i was racing some random fixenger and was cutting from the outside lane into the middle lane between a white van and a bus.
came in waaaay to fast and ended up skidding into the back of the van, put my foot down, got back in rode through the gap. pulled over straightened my bars back out then continued home with a lot less pride than 5 minutes prior.
and when i used a cycle computer my average speed was around 20 MPH and that was before i rode with clipless pedals

I can vouch for the crane. Good fucking rider.
-
• #193
You can probably get away with it for slow speeds but anythin over 23 mph gonna need a brake.
Have you ever raced crane?

Today I was riding south just after london bridge. I pulled out into the middle of the lane, saw that the outside of the bus was a no-go for an overtake at some traffic lights, so I looked over my shoulder to pull back only to find some CUNT ON A MOUNTAINBIKE zooming up my inside. I had to swerve back out, take the impossibly narrow gap down the outside and pull a really hairy sideways skid to avoid slamming into the back of another car. I was toying with the idea of pushing the prick off his mountain bike, but i settled for stopping in a pub and having a pint of coke instead. :(

Cunts on shit bikes undertaking are a massive pain in the testicles.
I had a big ol ride the other weak, and nearly got killed twice by two people trying to undertake on the inside. One got such a mouthful of extremities that he just stared at me in disbelief. -

Hahahahahahahahah, oh you haven't ridden with Crane have you, he hits 14mph on his first pedal stroke lol.
I can vouch for the crane. Good fucking rider.
Indeed :)

Anything over 23mph.......lolness I've seen him hit around 30 no troubles....many times.
I haven't raced Crane, but most times I've ridden with him its felt like a race, he is probably faster than you so I would stop running your mouth ;) -

push them off.
but don't say I told you to do that

Office: Mr Crazy why did you think it was ok to push this person off of their bicycle
Me: Because a guy called RPM said it was ok
Officer: That is not an acceptable excuse
Me: But he said it was ok!
Officer: You're under arrest.
its totally a personal choice, going brakeless RARELY affects anyone else.
Yes, you Might crash into a ped, but realistically your just as likely to crash and hurt someone else on Any bike, or even more so by driving a car...
what i'm saying is, that 95%+ of the time - you are only gonna hurt yourself - so, do it if You want to.
It also depends very much on the terrain you ride, up here in birmingham i would not go brakeless, my route to work includes a half mile downhill - where i hit over 30mph with corners - no amount of god like zen skillz would enable me to skid stop if i needed to - in that circumstance, locking the rear is tantamount to suicide, so i retain my front brake - for MY safety, not for anyone elses safety or Opinion of me.
