  • Thanks. I'd like to think I'm the exception to your little rule, but it's unlikely. I'll blame it on a very English sense of humour and claim that any use is ironic. I might be on something of a sticky wicket in that regard, though.

I don't know if this is a written version of buzzwords, but I've just had an email containing no less than three fonts and four colours in ONE LINE!

You smashed that one for six old chap

  • I was bowled over...

  • Now now, this thread has enough merit on its own to prevent it being overrun with cricket-related punnery. Puns are over...

  • Well, you're clearly defining the boundaries there.

  • Enough!

  • 'al desko'! How truly miserable.

  • Enough!

    I think you mean

    Hows that.

  • three to add...

to 'go passive' as in to stop doing something...possible example: alan johnson 'so gordon, should we nuke north korea?' gordon 'no alan, lets go passive on that'.

    reinvent the wheel

download - as in the process of doing a number two

  • Upload - Having a line of coke.. Possibly?

  • ^ Maybe getting it blown up your ass? a la Stevie Nicks

  • I always understood upload to be similar to download, but triggered by that dodgy pint (was in the 12th or the 13th...?).

  • ^ Maybe getting it blown up your ass? a la Stevie Nicks

is that with or without gerbil/rodent assitance?

  • Geezer in my office just came out with this little nugget. Anyone get any clues as to its meaning?

***INTERROGATE THE BRAND UNTIL IT CONFESSES

  • No idea and I think that might just be a stroke of pisstake genius. The obvious response would be to say "Absolutely, I'll question it's social locus until it cries like a group B customer".

  • Finger in the air model? They're rolling off his tongue now like now tomorrow.
    I need a pint

  • Great thread.

    "fluted seat tube"
    "short wheel-base"
    "adjustable stem"
    "pretty lugs"

will think of some more after some forum browsing.

think about a product untill you get an idea how to advertise it... or beating off in the toilet...

  • If your product is porn, this is one and the same.

  • hah, touché

  • I don't know if this is a repost but one I've herd alot on the news at the moment is staycation.

    1. It's a holiday in the country.

    2. It's still a holiday if you stay in the same country you don't have to go to fucking Malaga to go on holiday, although the more people that do the happier I am because it means I will not have to deal with their fucking ugly faces.

  • This may have been pointed out before but since there is no 'search this thread' tool at the top of the page I'll risk it: Staycation. It's where one member takes the piss out of another member in a way that might seem unfriendly but isn't because the two members know each other in real life and may even have met as recently as two days ago.

  • ^^^^ Repost ^^^^

    UTF edit/search

  • [sorry Will, but couldn't resist ;o)]

But then again it was the first word cited in the OP

  • "Vacation" always gets me. And "holiday". As in "I need a holiday" or "I'm going on vacation". I mean, WTF?

  • One that's in circulation right now is 'staycation'.

BTW, have you seen this picture. It's mental:
