    Is it that bad? nuts. Better buy another D-lock

  • "Is it that bad?"

    Understatement Of The Year Award goes to James Alexander

    You'll need about 6 D-Locks

  • that is absolutely lovely, dutch.

  • Current Project and Porn, congrats.

  • The ALAN looks great!

  • @ Dutch Cheese - Heel moi, or even better am I allowed to call a bike 'lekker'?? Nice one!

  • Beautiful!

  • Some very nice projects here.

    @James Alexander - that's a beautiful job.

    @Dutch Cheese - that's absolutely mint. Stunning.

  • Nice story how I got the second Corsa CX tubular during our holidays in France.
    We had some bad luck with a defect car tyre, but we found a garage where it was repaired immediately. By "co-incidence" it was a garage/bike shop and guess what? Somewhere in the shop, there was a brand new Vittoria Corsa CX hanging below the stairs. Exactly the one (size and color) I needed. When I asked the shop owner, how much I had to pay for the tubular, he replied that he didn't know that he had it. When I showed him the tyre, he pointed at the cheap training tubulars (Rally) and he said that the CX would be the same price. So, I got it for EUR 20.- and I had problems not to laugh loudly. Thanks Mr. Bouchonneau!

    By the way:
    It was a vey tiny bike shop. The was some kind of ceiling, but there were at least 3 beauties:

    • Gitane steel track bike with Dura Ace 10 components. Prolly an old team bike of a Renault/Gitane team. I asked Mr. Bouchonneau if it was for sale, but didn't want to sell it. It was a "souvenir" and he still uses it himself. Perhaps I should have offered him EUR 500 or 600.- and he would have sold it. It would be worth it. Perhaps I would have had some arguements with my wife.
    • Gitane time trial bike incl "wing" bars and huge "spoiler" saddle, like used by Thierry Marie. I'm personally not interested in this bike, but it's definately a very nice bike and I bet that some people here would kill the man for this bike.
    • A Colnago "special edition" gold or copper plated bike (was it a Colnago 2000?), I guess from the early 1980's, with full Campag. The only ugly thing was the "flat" handlebar with the brake levers. Worth a fortune.

    Who wants the address ?

  • just for curiosity, where in France?, no full adrres just the city

  • http://www.cycles-bouchonneau.fr

    Approx. 50km east from Montélimar.
    Near Nyons, direction Gap.

    Why, is you car tyre also defect ?

    ;-)

    well, such beauties before i feel a bit out of sorts placing this up, "surf checker" and my wifes single speed ride - finally something she likes.... new tires, risers or moutsache bars and new cranks should do the trick...

    I went through Aubres on the Etape this year. I'd have stopped and picked up a bargain if I'd known. :-)

  • Current state of my RiGi Bici Corta, aka HipHop Hooligan Bike ;) todo is 165mm cranks instead of the 172,5 racer-cranks it currently has... perhaps 25mm tires to make it a bit better in the turns.

    ps, my bike is tighter than yours.. and has steeper angles!
    pps, my bike sadly also has a lower bottom bracket than yours... :(

  • The s/s beater/commuter is finished! :)

    Rode to work today and it felt very different to my other bike (which is expected)...now to see how long the rear wheel I built lasts!
