Nearly done with my single speed Klein, waiting on some nice avid v-brakes from ebay, a chain and then ride time! (not bad for 7.5Kg half of which is in the tyres!)
Tempted by those lovely flight saddle images but I know I'll be happier with my concor.
Sorry for the shoddy phone photos...I was going to say.. missing a 90's Flite Ti!

Where can mere mortals such as, perhaps, myself purchase one of these exquisite saddles? Also, pray tell, how many of your Great British Pounds might it cost me?
Well, Euro Asia Imports apparently sell them. I've sent them an e-mail about flite saddles and I haven't gotten a reply yet. I'll let you know if they quote a price for these saddles.
But I'm pretty sure it won't be less than £130ish a saddle, and probably £200+ for the carbon one

I saw a completely carboned Arione (everything is carbon, even the rail) for £300 at Condor, I suspect it'd cost that much.
149g, pretty light.
£300?!? You're having a laugh!
My stripped Carbon SLR is only 125g.
(125g with padding, not sure how much without)

(125g with padding, not sure how much without)yeah, thats pointless paying that much for that weight.
My carbon/ti stripped velo saddle for £15 is 126gthe c64 selle italia (in the ebay thread) recently went for 95quid from the almost 300 what it costs new

That's too flat. The Flite has got some sexy curves to it.

i do think we need to move over to "porn" thread.
seriously, more over there

Grrrr taking 100g off the weight of a saddle is crazy give I could easily loose that weight be drinking less with my vitamins in the morning..
Having said that I saved 98g by stripping the paint of my Klein! I'm all for that kind of weight saving!
Absolutley NurseHolliday, a saddle needs curves to be sexy (and dare I say comfortable...) -
• #13711
just by going to the toliet you can lose that much!

That's exactly the same shape as the SLR I just posted is, once stripped.
Too flat? Nope.

Never seen a really large Colnago before, knew they go up to a 65cm but you never see them about. I'm pretty tempted to get one but might have to go for a custom geometry one as I'd need a steeper seat tube angle than the stock ones, very annoying puts the cost up by £650!
Been thinking loads lately about getting a new road frame, will probably have to be custom which is a bit annoying, still undecided on wether to go for Titanium or Carbon, I think Titanium is winning at the moment.

just received this off ebay, wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what to look for before signing off on the deal? seems like a nice (reynolds 653) lugged frame, campy dropouts, 126mm rear spacing. noticed one tiny dent on tt (4th pic) that wasn't mentioned but nothing really concerning. thanks.

Parts bins are something you need to ask for...and in some cases earn the right to paw through.
In BC we have one (and lemme tell you something, it's a good one!) but we don't let people we don't know come into the back of the shop to look for stuff. We are happy to have look for what you need, if it's some thing in particular.
PS, if it's bad form to talk about what my shop does when your asking a general question let me know. I've himmed and hawed about it, and posted anyways this time.

I was thinking more Swansea than Scotland, I live in Cardiff so it's closer.
!NHattattatcktta: Don't suppose you have a 24.8 seat post lying around? I will pay several Princess Diana commemorative plates for just one 24.8 seat post.

Heres one of mine. Needs black tape, I know. Sorry for the shit photo. I'm on my phone.
Wheels are mavic ellipse. Bars post and stem are nitto. Headset is King. Frame is Waterford 2800.
FWIW, the whole bike is much darker in person. You can see in the white door sealing that this photo is about a stop or two overexposed.
Peace.

Great frame!

Thanks for that.
I don't think there's anything wrong wt talking about your shop. If you over do it you're guaranteed to get rinced.

I have to say that i found the Charge Knife quite a bit comfier than the Spoon, on a par with my Toupe. It occurs to me that whether or not people where Lycra/Padding makes a big difference to how a lot of saddle work out, but is never mentioned when these things are discussed. If i am going sans padding, i still find the original Concor the best.
