is it a compass beers week ?

So it would seem, there has been less fanfare than usual. I saw your post on the compass thread. See you there about 6.30 mate.
When's the next Tour De East London scheduled?
-
• #3529
hey guys cant make it tonight.
i am run down / ill. not sure whether it is man flu or swine flu ?
see you all next week.
-
• #3530
Never mind that swine flu, man flu is far more serious.
Get well soon eh.
-
• #3531
So a compass ride rolling to easts for a newbie TT round? Sounds good!

Beer is the best remedy for man flu! Lots and lots of beer.
I should be coming tonight. Need to pop in to Regent's Park first to fill the bleachers at a softball game.

Get better soon, Phil!

@ NurseHolliday, If you're rolling back down to Easts before 7pm come to Trafalgar Square and roll on back with us.
@ Mobidog, see you in the square then?
-
• #3535
Okie doke. If I'm not there by 7, don't wait for me. I don't know how long this softball game will be, and I may be roped into going for a drink with them first.

I'm a noob to east beers, was thinking of turning up. I can't make it before 7, so might come straight there. What time do you expect to start?
-
• #3538
how many pints can you drink? Start at 11:20 give yourself 20 minutes per pint and work backwards. (half an hour if it's PAulaner)

seeing as we'll be rolling from Trafalgar Sq. we'll be there at about 7.30. Others may be there earlier but this can't be guaranteed.
^^I'm saying we'll up there, no-one has 100% committed, at least in a post so it might be a solo compass ride for me yet.

I'm planning on making my first East beers tonight as well. It's been great to meet some people here so looking forward to continuing my socialising/drinking.
hoonz, I'll be leaving from Covent Garden so might be able to meet up in Trafalgar. What time are you leaving?
-
• #3541
I'll be there from 6.30ish for a 7pm departure.
-
• #3542
Well if I come I will be riding this:
And wearing this:
How will i recognise you lot? then again it's probably all fakengers... ;)
-
• #3543
kaki green t-shirt, camo chrome bag and a purple Falcon olympic. Exactly, fakengers the lot of us.
-
• #3544
I'd love to do the ride there and meet you all but might have a timing conflict. How long do you reckon the ride will take to the pub?
-
• #3545
I'd say about 30 mins from the square to the boozer depending on pace, but no slower than that. So leave at 7, arrive at 7.30 unless someone has other ideas?
-
• #3546
Sounds great. I should be able to do the ride then. I'll be the guy with a lilac Peugeot and gold rims carrying a gigantic bright orange bag.
-
• #3547
No worries then. I'm leaving work now, will be en route in some shape or form. If anyone wants to know anything else, utfs.

• #3548
Myself and Mrs. Generate had a great time tonight. It was a pleasure to meet some more people from the forum and had a great ride despite the weather. My wife is getting keener to get on a bike which is great news for me.
Cheers,
Dale

i quite like that specialised fixed gear bike.
If we get sufficient Newby interest is anyone up for the compass beer ride from Trafalgar Square tomorrow?
