Can't understand why you'd start an internet vendetta against an independent business for the sake of a tenner! Sorry if that sounds harsh.
Cant help but agree with this. It might feel like just having a chat amongst mates on here. But this place carrys a lot of weight on t'internet. Its worth pausing for thought before writing a negative thread about a small company.
Not saying you're not your entitled to post your opinion though. It is an open forum after all.
Don't buy Cotton!

Blimey, if I buy a couple of cheapo t-shirts from Camden and they subsequently fall to bits after a couple of washes, mea culpa. Vintage gear / caveat emptor.
For what it's worth, I've bought plenty of stuff of these guys and it has all been good and delivered quickly without problems.

I don't think it's vendictive at all. There is clearly a problem with the quality of your cotton jerseys and it needs addressing.
From the replys posted, it looks like you were unhelpful at best.
You don't think its vindictive to set up a phantom account and bid on all our items?

If the system which fails to provide him a refund for a defective product and the seller wont do the right thing; why should he do the right thing?

I cannot really be bothered to wade back through this, but might I ask a) how was this top meant to be washed, and b) how was it washed?
If a) is the same as b) then what is CyclingTopsUK's response?
If a) is not the same as b) then forget about it.

Because the system is there to protect both of us. If the system finds in my favour then its because we were right in our convictions. there are two sides to every story............. -

It was supposed to be washed at 40C, it was washed by hand in cold water, apparently.

I agree but in this case, the buyer was careful when washing and it was clearly deffective. Which means the right thing is to refund him.
If he had set it on fire or washed it in petrol then that would be where the other side to the story would come in.

EDIT- too slow, did not see that you had answered.
Sadly I have no knowledge of fabric dye, but is it common for clothing that can be washed at 40 degrees to run when washed with cold water?
Could someone with some textile knowledge answer this?

But how can it be proven how he washed it? Im my opinion he washed it at too high a temperature, damaging the top and wants us to rectify the damaged he inflicted to the jersey. If the correct procedure had been followed then I'm sure it would have been fine. As previously stated we've never had any -ve feedback about the colour running in these up untill now.

Calling an inquizative thread on a open forum, a mass internet which hunt, is also a bit harsh.

I'd say its more that people forget that anyone googling your company will soon end up with this thread on the first page of results.

I don't think anyone would wash any top (let alone one meant for athletic activities) on anything more than 40C.
If he says he washed it in cold and it ran then surely your first response should be to check your stock to ensure that nobody else will receive shitty products?

Hi to you all,the notion that you bought it,wore it-so you must be happy with it!(otherwise you would have complained before now, does not wash-pardon the pun!)is a load of BOOCKS.You no the score, you see an attractive potential mate(male/female-whichever your choice in life),date it,connect with it,be "very happy with your choice",untill the need to visit the STD clinic.Enough said???.Oh,by the way it has not happened to me from either perspective,Lucky little bue*.Hit the sod were it hurts,in the test*cl*s & the pocket-through the various cycle forums.

I would say that this is not an inquizative thread. It contains material pertaining to the fraudulently setting up of a phantom ebay account with its sole purpose to cause disruption to our business resulting in financial losses, whether it be ebay fee's or loss of trade.
I would call that a Witch Hunt.

As previously stated we have never had any negative feedback about the colours running on this jersey in over 100 transactions.......

had any negative feedback about your customer service?
No we are not. We have sold over 100 of these now with hardly any issue and non ever pertaining to the colour running. I see Deadly Fanny Pack had an issue, but to my knowledge he didn't let us know.
