tallbike-project.. ontopic since its SS :)
Reminds me of this simpsons quote:
Homer: Look everyone! Now that I’m a teacher I’ve sewn patches on my elbows.
Marge: Homer that’s supposed to be leather patches on a tweed jacket, not the other way around. You’ve ruined a perfectly good jacket.
Homer: Incorrect, Marge. Two perfectly good jackets! -

Is that the same pink Bianchi that you powdercoated it in grey?
Yeah same pink one re painted, original forks just in a lighter matt grey.

Well, this has taken me eight months to collect all the parts and finally build it but it's done at last:
I know it's not the best bike photography, but you get the idea.

I think that would look nice, or black Sug 75s with a black 75 chainring (that's what I've got).
Black 123aa's are on my wants list :)
Cheers Fox, new cranks are on the list... I think all black Miche Advanced (thanks again for the tip-off Ed) is the way forward. Spot on with the bars, and the stem's a Jaguar.

Looks like the turd antlers are no more. I loved cruising in the middle position so much that i've got some full on profile tr-bar extensions...with arm rests. :)
I didn't want the bars any wider, and i found that i wasn't really using the normal hand grip section...i was always on either the end bar ends or the centre ones...so i figured i could sacrifice the regular flat section in place of some arm rests....looking forward to trying them out properly now and getting proper 'aero' tucked :)Also picked up my Garmin 605 today so that is now mounted on the stem, bring on the touring! :)

What you waiting on Scott? that brown SR-6 would be a nice addition to the collection ;)
An SR6 would be nice...but i'm waiting on the bike that's hopefully gonna be at interbike :)

what rims/hubs are those?
They're Record Pista hubs, which are going to be somewhat of an experiment on the street and ceramic Open Pro's, which is why they have the dark grey braking surface.
Edit: This is the list:
Bob Jackson Vigorelli,
Campagnolo Record Pista cranks, chainring, hubs,
Campagnolo Record headset and bottom bracket,
MKS Royal Neuvo pedals and MKS toe-clips,
Christophe toe straps,
EAI Superstar cog,
Campagnolo lockring,
D.I.D Racing Pro Chain
Mavic Ceramic Open Pro Rims,
DT Swiss Spokes,
Nitto Pearl stem,
Nitto B123A bars,
Freshtripe Elkhide grips, toe clip covers and chainstay protector,
Brooks Swift (Titanium) saddle,
NOS San Marco fluted seatpost,
Campagnolo seat-binder bolt,
Vittoria rim tapes and inner tubes,
Continental Ultra Gator Skin tyres,
Campagnolo Veloce brake (2006 model)
Dia Compe Grand Compe brake lever,
NOS Dia Compe brake cable,
Kashimax top-tube protector (although the brake hits the down-tube first if the bars go the the right.)I think that's it. :)

i like the bell

finally finished
Nice

i like the bell
The bell lasted exactly thirty seconds - the bumpy Uk roads meant it was announcing my imminent arrival with every pot-hole and speed bump.
Does anyone want to buy a vintage style Japanese bell?
Edit: The bell is now sold!

Is there a way to mount it horizontal to the ground?
That may prevent phantom rings.
-
• #11267

...well you obviously know more than me, but I'm thinking it's gotta be some kind of AM/hardcore XC type rig, that would seem to be the obvious gap in the range right now

How much you're selling it for? I fancy having one!

The hammer is sprung so mounting it horizontally would probably mean even more ding-dinging unfortunately.
I may try damping it in it's natural position and using it at an angle to strike the bell part. If that doesn't work, it's back to shouting!

Finally have the Fort how I want it.
New Truativ chainset, carbon seatpost and SLR Gel Flow. Also flipped the stem for more comfort on longer rides. -
• #11272
Just a shame it's too small for you ;-)

Hah, I know!

Anatomic bars look odd on track bikes.
-
• #11275
So do risers.
cheers Ed - I like the rake and slimness.
bike is very attractive except the pedals IMO.
