Ha, I've phoned them twice and still haven't been able to get an answer. They're not so good at calling back, either.

Gabes, word is those rear brake bosses are in the wrong place, they're too high on the seatstays. You have to run your wheel slammed for most brakes to reach the rim. Not all gear combo's work...

I do like how the frames aimed at polo are copying London's style.

They're still in prototype at the moment. They're taking pre-orders but have said they won't start making those until they're fully dialled and all of the test riders are completely happy with them. -

yeah, it's funny, but i guess these heavy rigs are pretty polo proof.

the geometry has been finalised, http://benscycle.blogspot.com/2009/02/mke-update-part-2-final-geometry.html
I was looking at these but they are pretty pricey, especially with the current state of the pound > dollar

Number one solution to the brake problem is to angle the ends upwards.
a'la Rivendell Quickbeam

that's just normal canti bosses, different to BMX U brakes which are designed to run on the underside.

Yea, $740 for frameset and postage!
£490! Plus possible customs duty as they won't lower the price on the paperwork...

I'm on about the fact that if you move your wheel on perfectly horizontal ends the brake needs adjusting to reach the rim properly. Rivendell angled theirs upwards so you don't need to do that if you change gearing, add/remove a chainlink.

No, just having a coffee break...

i think i was either thinking this or i dreamt of a drop-out with two slots... one higher...either way the above is a nicer solution.

It's still cheaper than a Brooklyn which I've also been eyeing up for some time. -

I thought the gangsta track was closer to £700?
Jono on Ali's account:
Nope, that was Ali's... all fixed now. I've now added a "power" end to my mallet, it looks fairly stupid.
(I'm now waiting on a BB from Parker so the mini cranks can go on the polo bike, toe overlap will be a thing of the past.)
