SKI POLE UPDATE:
Sally Ann's has a bunch upstairs. You have to ask the dude behind the counter for them. We got two, not matching, for 50p each. Bargain.
Also, popped to the Pipe Centre on Ditton Walk (opposite the Cambridge United ground) and managed to get a big length of pipe for free. It's 63mm (ish) but tough as nails. If anyone needs any, we've got a bunch.

cheers matt for this info, will toddle along to sal's ASAP! and yes can I have a bit of pipe from you? ta.
-
• #167
Good work Matt , was it the blue water stuff at 63mm ? I'll check it out too :)
-
• #168
The pipe is at my house, anyone can come round with a saw and take as much as they need, probably still got a metre or so left, it's been coiled so is not quite straight but im sure it will do the trick.
Also Harvey how did you get the ends of your pipe perfectly straight? Mine is on a bit of a wonk, took a sander to it to try and even it out but it took ages and still isn't looking much better

I've been facing them off on the lathe .
Can do yours in return for pipe

I've just acquired some 63mm blue from the pipe centre , the young guy in reception was very pleasant and wouldn't take any payment but stressed that we would have to pay for it in the future(just like smack dealers).
Normally it costs 11.90 a metre which will make about** 6** mallet heads .I guess if we constantly go in there hassling for piping for free they may get pissed off with us .Oh and whilst we're on the subject did you know we only have 1 orange ball. If next week Will is late we'll have to rely on those nasty heavy pink face busters . I suggest everyone buys one of these to practice at home with
for £1.50+P.P

More balls is a really good idea. I wanted to pick one up anyway so I can practise control on my street.
That is the same as happened to us, Harvey. Except the young chap's exact words were "take this and if you run before my boss sees you, you can have it for free."
Sold.

Why not save some postage and buy the whole lot and then we can settle up in the pub? I'll trade a ball for some pipe and the drilling as I lack the niceties of a shop or even a drill.
-
• #173
I just bought 3 and saved 50p
-
• #174
Yeah, I bought 10. You hate the environment don't you Harvey. Admit it

I have just had it on good authority of a pile of "to let" and "for sale" signs dumped near my work. I shall be picking them up after work, although apparently they are well dumped, as in not very accessible below a bridge. If you do not hear from me, tell my mother i love her...
