I have experimented with bullhorns - both the aero wing thing and those nitto drop ones, but over the years have come to the flat bar and bar ends combo and just really like it. Find it more comfortable.
Agree on the chain though - gonna give it a proper clean when we get a bit of clear weather. At the moment what with all the grit down it only takes one commute to get caked in grime again... -

cheap mudguard from Condor (£9) should keep your backside clean.
fed up of having to wash my hoodie after almost every ride.

A wee update now the uglifying project is complete.
I think I might have gone too far. -

Bowery?
Lol!
Excellent.
EDIT: When you have time, post some more pics of your Bowery
.....so that the handlebar, saddle and wheels can be fully seen? -

Bowery?
Yep. Bog standard apart from the carbon post, chopped 'n' flopped bars and the deda black stream fork. And about 100 stickers.

.....so that the handlebar, saddle and wheels can be fully seen? Here you go dude. Sorry for the shit photos. Only got the camera phone at the mo (and composition is fucked 'cause I'm a bit pissed). I could do with covering up the welds a bit more but it's difficult getting the stickers to stick there.
When we get some good weather up here in Edinburgh I'll get out with the proper film or digital camera and get some proper arty shit on the go. I've spotted a really good graffiti spot that would look very FGG. And those tyres need changed now that I see it in a pic. They look like balloons. -

Hey,
Firstest post!
That's my Charge plug racer. It's pretty much standard except for...
Eggbeater SL pedals
Nitto flat bars w/ soyo gripsand it's been resprayed! House of Kolor Vermillion on the frame and good old white on the forks and bars. I want to get either an un-machined rear wheel or maybe get mine sprayed. Hmm, that's about it!
And yeah, hey everyone!
Oli.

Hey package. Welcome to the madhouse.
You've chosen a really bright colour for your frame. Won't be easy to colour match for.
Bright orangey-red toe-clips?

Nice job!
I can not understand why there as so much negativity regarding these bikes. The otp specs are stupid I know, but It's a nice start for upgrades......I personally think the Chrome i lovely and the decals kind of classic!
I've got one my self and put a picture in soon.

Not mine, but just seen this blue-powdercoated(?) Bowery on Hatton Garden.
I like the blue. I had to look twice, before realising it was a Bowery. Good paint job.

The same idiocy that makes people ride without bar tape/grips?

Think it's time for me to post an update over the original one in the first page, had it not been chrome it would appear a lots worse;
the only thing that is standard is simply the crankset and BB, but everything else has been completely change (a found campagnolo seatpost in the back of BLB for cheap, old Nitto drop with bargain nitto stem, concor saddle, an NJS thick leather strap on sales from Condor, 105 headset, both tyres' gatorskin, front is an H+son laced to cheap System EX hubs, rear is a Velocity Fusion laced to System EX as well).
fork from an old road bike, the ride is slightly less zippy, but a tad more comfortable.

road fork, that's all, found in the back of BLB, £45 a little steep for an old fork, but worth it.

You've got a nice looking bike there, Ed!

thank, it usually take a simple fork change to make it unrecognisable as a Bianchi.

Tomorrow I'll take a photo of my Bowery, complete with replacement forks which were necessary as a result of a severe parked bus avoidance fail.

one day he'll get back to his bike to find a dog has pissed all over his helmet....
why not get a bullhorn bar instead of a flat with bar end?
1+ on what GA2G said, it's a bike that is actually been used, althought that exactly why I got black rims on mine - doesn't show dirt easily, and it's being chrome, doesn't always look dirty despite being cacked with mud.
all you need to do is to simply keep the chain clean from dirt and grim really, that's usually the important thing to do on a fixed wheel bicycles.
