Battle Royale was kinda cool. Was it a remake of an earlier film though?

Go to thepiratebay.org for all your torrent needs.
Only download avis, never zip files and use Azures as your download manager.Of course, you could just use a mac or linux, and not worry about shit like viruses

And NEVER make the decision to watch Battle Royale 2.

i think gummo is about my last favorite movie of all time. it left me so unsettled, and i guess i never really got the point.
I think that was the point. Unsettling for sure.

Um... A History of Violence was ok too.

this was probably the scariest movie I ever seen
I would have to agree that The Grudge is really creepy. Made me have nightmares about small Japanese boys in my cupboards, and long croaky noises. Also made me want to move to Japan, on some level. Which I did. Cannot reconcile those two ideas though.... I want to move to a place where I've seen dreadful things happen on the TV? Great idea!
I love Park Chan-Wook. We have the Vengeance trilogy, but I don't think they're very scary. Clever and a bit messed up is a better description, IMO. Would like to see 'I'm a Cyborg....' very much, although I think it's very different to his other stuff.

I'd love to do the same, but there are many unanswered questions and doubts about the whole plan. Never been there, so I don't know much. Maybe one day.

Great tip on Irreversible. Seriously twisted film.
-
• #65
With somehow a happy ending/ beginning.

Yeah, super bleak to begin and the whole feel of the film changes as it progresses. Gonna have a look at some of these other tips now!
Interesting you watched it without subtitles. I reckon that you'd still take a lot from is as its very "visual" if you know what I mean. Would be interesting to do.

irreversible is really fucked up.
went to flicks to see that its the only film i have seen people get and walk out, fucked up but a good film in the way it works...but i dont want to watch it again.

Yeah, Battle Royale was a good film, but the sequal sucked.
For twisted Japanese films, see 'Audition' or 'visitor Q'.
Personally, Mulholland Drive always creeps me out: it's like watching a nightmare.

Haha on the subject of Park Chan Wook, I met mim and got him to sign my copy of Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance.
He said you need to watch 'Cyborg' fthrough the eyes of a 10 year-old? that make any sense? I think he made it for his daughter.

Mulholland Drive is visually very good as always with Lynch, great cinematography and weird as fuck, hard to keep up. Nice lesbos scene too

Dead Man's Shoes is pretty dark too.
I showed the same set of friends "Oldboy", "Dead Man's Shoes" and "Bad Lieutenant". I'd never seen any of them before, just heard vaguely good things... Anyway, I'm not allowed to pick the film again.

Brutal... cant really say more than that.
I think there are some sick puppies on this forum. That was horrible.
Got any more tips ;)

I find 'The Exorcism of Emily Rose' hard to watch due to fear.
Can't sleep for days after watching it.Thats a good recommendation too - just finished it. That was heavy duty.
I think i need to go outside. I will be watching Who Framed Roger Rabbit next - need something to lighten the tone!

'The Death of Mr Lazarescu'
If you want something grim, but funny in parts.
Ah yeah, thanks mate. Only ever seen bits of it but wouldn't mind seeing it from start to finish
