• Great tip on Irreversible. Seriously twisted film.

That film was seriously heavy-going. Just remembering it is disturbing enough!

• eden lake is just as disturbing, in slightly different ways

• Will prob check it out. I'm guessing its a lot better than 'Hostel' or 'The Devil's Rejects' - they weren't horror, just gore!

• Ombre, what the hell is wrong with you??? Nekromantic? Jesus Christ. Just read a synopsis online. Bloody hell.

Downloading.

Also check ' Calvaire', not bad at all .... Nekromantik is ok, but I admit I have been quite disgusted by what happen to this poor cat...

• if anyone likes gore and stuff like that, visit ogrishforum.com.
i spent best part of an hour, before running away from it, shocked and a bit scared !
will never go back, fucking horrifying !! :O
i watched 30secs or so of a vid of someone in russia getting murdered with a hammer and screwdriver ffs !!
took me a week or so to calm down from the images from that, albeit all 30 secs ! vomit worthy.
i honestly feel a bit polluted from it, such dark evil goings on need not seeing. gosh... can't say more really.

but
if your that way inclinded,
there it is for you.

• I'm such a pussy when it comes to horror films. Tried watching room 408 on my own, had to turn it off about a quarter in. Pathetic, i know!

Battle Royale was kinda cool. Was it a remake of an earlier film though?

Just finished this. Good fun for its absolute absurdity.

• A Bittersweet Life.......Blows the socks off Oldboy.

• i just watched Transsiberian last night.... really really good, very tense, reminded me of Hitchcock.
watch it now!..... (or come to souths and i'll burn you a copy!)

• A Bittersweet Life.......Blows the socks off Oldboy.

watched that straight after you wrote it, great film, thanks

• it's good isn't it..... i like the bit where he gets all fiesty with the boy racers..... abd the buried alive bit.
actually i think i might watch that again at some point.

• it's worth it.

hahaha...

Fcuk, I'm watching that one tonight fo sho!

• it's well worth it.

• Ace! Love to do that down Brixton High Road!

• I always think creepy/disturbing movies are heightened when it's subtitled like the Ring, Audition, Orphanage, Cronos, Devils Backbone,Rec, Amores Perros (sp?) and the like

Requiem For a Dream is awesome but fuck the spiral at the end does my head in hugely, it's great.

• I haven't watched requiem for a dream yet ... maybe because I'm a bit afraid to be disappointed ( though I really like Aronofsky, but Selby's book is so intense ) ...

• Well, A Bittersweet Life [strike]didn't download in time[/strike] wasn't available to purchase so I went with 'Rec' instead...good film but not as great as I thought it was gonna be, but still gets pretty gnarly pretty quick, and I agree with Clever Pun's comment about subtitles heightening the effect...

• Bit late, but... Wolf Creek had it's critics at the time, and is flawed, but I agree, great film, I liked it, even just for the sheer "RUN!.... JUST RUN!" factor.

Incorrectly linked to the Peter Falconio thing. The real inspiration was a LOT creepier. Some wild man in the Blue Mountains that'd kill tourists and keep their stuff.

EDIT: just read the thread, mentioned ^^^

• The real inspiration was a LOT creepier. Some wild man in the Blue Mountains that'd kill tourists and keep their stuff.

sounds like hippy.

• they don't make 'em like they used to.

• 'The Death of Mr Lazarescu'

If you want something grim, but funny in parts.

And you're a cat lover.

+1 for Eden Lake - 'Broken Britain' in film, it really made me feel uneasy, which is rare.

I would love to have been a fly on the wall at the screenplay presentation for 28 Days Later.

"It's a zombie flick right."

"Yeesss..."

"But with a twist."

"Hmmm, go on."

"The zombies can run like fuck."

"Oh shit."

• i just watched Transsiberian last night.... really really good, very tense, reminded me of Hitchcock.

"Transibirean" is a nice enough film.
I feel however the ending was weak almost as if they ran out of money.
Well worth watching though, since character tension keep you on your toes.

• they don't make 'em like they used to.

Ace film, made me fall in love with Julie Christie
