You can get away with a 23.4 post from Decathlon, but you need to shim it up a bit or hope that you can tighten the clamp up enough without anything snapping.

They run a 24mm I think. I'll get the calipers on it later. Aparently they're quite hard to get hold of. You might be as well to just buy some 24mm aluminium tube then fit a clamp on the top.

Thanks Sam. I thought a 25 would work and she went and bought one of those and too big. Grrr...

Hi, newborn here too, sorry to butt in on this thread, but still in the nursery stage of the forum, so have to post my minimum 5. Just thought while some of you were Pug posin, i would lob mine out. And yes it is a 24mm post, dura ace do one from a few years back, because its an odd size some lbs might have them cheap.

That's a very nice looking pug. I didn't know you could run chain tensioners like that. Has it got paint on it or is it raw?

just finishing up my pug build, had similar issues with the seatpost, had the original one from the frame but it was fairly short and knackered. managed to find this site which does a 22.2mm acor microadjust bmx one that is just right when shimmed up a bit.

the acor logo'll polish off nicely with a bit of elbow grease too

Its battleship grey powder with a metal flake. Transfers by Loyds. Tensioner is made from an old campag double ring spanner with a thread in the folded end to take a 5mm hex bolt. Also acts as a 3mm spacer on drive side as mines a 126mm spacing running 120 hubs. Nil slipparj!

i have just picked up an old pug 52 frame for free and am about to start converting it into a fixed wheel :)
not sure how to post photos on here, any ideas?
how common is it for girls to convert and ride fixed wheels?

upload the photos to some webspace then use the add image button in the reply box.
or attach the image to the post (use the advanced reply box)
plenty of girls seem to have converted bikes to fixed, either that or they are damn convincing drag artists

Guy with the barspinable Pug. Max respect, that is awesome! If you're talking about the guy that rides at TrixieDix on a Pug with a barspinable front brake, then that would be me :-) If you're talking about a different bike, then that's not me :-(!

no it wasn't french, the lady at the bike shop said when they have a UK stickers they have "standard" thread.
Hi Edy, (And everyone else, of course!)
I've got a pug frame (mid-80's Triathlon) that I've had as a fixie for a while. Trouble is I snapped off the bb axle the other day grunting my way up a steep hill... GRR!
Which Shimano BB did you use? And which crankset did you end up with?

hello vannen,
i got my pieces from a cannondale capo, it's a standard shimano i believe very cheap one (as bits of the cannondale capo are not famous for being the best on the market).
I don';t know the exact model but you might find out which one is mounted on the capo and just get the same one, so far is good for me but i;m not an extreme rider.any question let me know

crankset is again from a capo, it is FSM 48 teeth -
