thanks martin. will take your glass half full approach!!!
andersb- safe to say it's off as me and jonny are probably the two who know the route. next week is a good possibility. -
• #104
OK I and others will keep checking the thread. Cheers.

• #106
weather looking good today - is this going ahead?
-
• #107
Bump
Would like to do this tonight provided there isn't a train journey involved
-
• #108
This would be a really good night for Much Hadham, guys. Pretty sure I know the route-I'll bring a crib sheet. So how about 7.00 at Stratford Rail, as had been the plan last week?
@ Picco, no train needed if you're able to get to Stratford ok for that time. I'll by pushing the pedals from South Lon.

I am up for this if others are who know the route?
-
• #110
just spoke with clintsmoker and we are gonna do this next week. good luck to you guys doing it tonight - it's a pretty easy route to remember if you have done it before.
otherwise, see some of you next week i hope

I am leaving work (Liverpool Street) in 15 mins heading south unless its a defo with a wiser more knowledgable routemaster? If not I am pretty sure I can make next week.

I had a great roll out into the cool cool countryside last night, a big thanks to Dropout for directions we did well I thought, Cool to meet Gus and er...er..I think it was Andy apologies but am bad with names especially when still tired.
Good news on the machine clintsmoker it will be nice to roll with you again I am pleased for you.
Certainly up for it next week but am unsure where I will be working on Tuesday so will confirm nearer the time.- clintsmoker

really good ride. would suggest you don't want to leave any later than 7:30 as you'll be getting back pretty late otherwise. Ride went well with other than one flat tyre. Definitely not a ride for dawdling on.
Stretch out to Epping on the way out was pretty ugly given the traffic and roads but from there on in was great.
would love to come next Tuesday but parents in town.
good luck and will be looking for the next one beyond

well done to you guys doing it last night. i bet it got pretty nippy once you were out past epping. looking forward to getting this one done finally next week.

would definitely recommend hat/cap, long fingered gloves and thick socks...began to miss London's warm glow/pollution envelope out past Epping

That was a good, pacy ride, guys. 106km out and back to Lea Bridge road. 122km to my front door and duvet comfort. Nippy it was though: full body stocking, Sheepskin boots and bobble hat essential, for a scarf, look no further than silky Rapha.
Mr Purple, all that wheel-sucking I did was just so I could benefit from your road-flooding Extreme light.
Gustav, all that wheel-sucking I did was just so I could wind you up!If I'm on an early shift next week I'm riding it again.

glad the ride went well lads and congrats for getting out there and representing.
i suggested the stratford station meet so we can decide to roll round the corner to leyton station and jump on the central line to epping and cut out the traffic. cuts of 10 miles and 45 mins of riding but may be worth it and it just a zone 6 ticket or your oyster. would ride the road back in as it is going to be quieter. anyway just an option
hope to see everyone on tuesday then

So, if we (Cambridge fixed) were to manage to get our arses down to MH. Is 10pm your probably arrival time?
Also, where in Much Hadham? Is there some alehouse of ill-repute that will serve as your destination? -
• #123
I've just finished working away from home and can now ride in the week. When are you guys riding next? I fancy some Essex rides flat but long. Southend was a good ride.

• #124
caleb - would be good to see you out there on tuesday see previous post for details. this is a half way to cambridge run and back so about 50 miles but pretty flat.
if you know the roads around essex and can get us a nice circular route thast would have everyone home in bed for tea and bickies for midnightish then let us know. Things to consider are the distance and more importantly that we can do it without fuck arsing about with maps in the dark. the two routes we've done already are like the palms of our hands, well known and accessable without the use of ordinance survey maps.
Andersb - realistically we'll be around much hadham about 10pm and i only know the post office opposite the fire station(?) but there should be a boozer on the main drag. obviously the weather conditions and the general feeling among the riders on the night as to how much time they wanna spend in incestville will be a factor but would be good to hook up with you guys

• #125
oh yeah purple - how about a kent ride to give you an early night for a change?
anders - not sure dude. i am not gonna head out there and was clintsmoker and i who know that route. we will get these tuesday sessions on track again. we had some good ones in the surrey hills the much hadham is proving much harder.
