  • I should also point out that I don't believe in good old saint nicholas.
Firstly I'm not a christian so feel no need to celebrate the, clearly appropriated from the pagans, date of Jesus Christs birthday.
Secondly, I'm against pointless ownership of stuff, possession of anything superfluous is a crime perpetrated by those who fall for the propoganda of consumerism.
    Thirdly, you're still a cunt.

  • I'm not religious but I like to join in with any event which involves partying just for the crack.

I'm sure Object is up for events that involve parting the crack too Tommy. (Edit: Sorry Em, couldn't resist).

  • I'm a committed Christian, and like to defecate on the tabernacle every Sunday.

  • Nice one mouse, rep.

  • Ramadan anyone?

Ahh, you're THAT man are you. The one that turns up to parties, takes everyone's crack and then fucks off. I hate you people...

    Atheist.

  • Atheist.

Me too and I'm hasty to explain that to most of the people that give me an odd look when I say I study Religion, Philosophy and Ethics at uni :S

  • Good work, I studied Psychology and creative therapy at uni. I'm about people as individuals not people as an off shoot of their religeously imposed mantras.

If I want to know about how things work on a grand scale I study mathematics.

  • Religion is a great subject to study. It helps you understand how to take control of the masses minds and get them to do your bidding. Pure gold.

Not seen this my self but looks like a good documentary.

EDIT: apart from the Turing thing, as I I was always told it was the hassel he got from the authorities for being gay that got to him.

  • rofl!

  • Tommy, cheers for the link.
Wibble, that XK always cracks me up.

  • I'm always in awe at how unceasingly brilliant XKCD seems to be..

  • If you saw me yesterday you'd have noticed I was on a polo gear of 50.3
Rear cogs don't come much bigger than the 23 I run.

Your bike, by the way, is less of a budgie and more of a diseased london pigeon. I've had less decrepit bikes put to sleep (for their own good).

Your fine self had all the grace of a liquidised toad on valium.

Who was that old lady speeding past you on a dutch bike? Now that bitch had some style and the requisite speed to go with it. Your grandma per chance?

I thought this was a single speed forum and I have a single speed, which is slow.

However my Grandma, who is not a bitch but a very loving elderly lady was not on a Dutch bike but a Dutch style* bike manufactured by the most English of bike makers, Pashley. She did pass me as she was late for her WI meeting. To be honest she can't half crank it for a lady of advanced years (it's all about deep muscle memory you know) and I bet you would be left in the wake as well.

Your analogy of me riding like a "liquidised toad on valium" on reflection it is correct. It may not be graceful as a chetaah (I think I did over-rate my ability), but it sure is smooooth in fact I bet you can't get smoother than that.

Finally as it was pointed out to me the other day, as long as one rides it doesn't matter what is ridden. The simple fact is one is riding.

    As scott not scot said:

Why do people keep thinking that if they come on here ***gging certain bikes or types of riders we're all gonna 'lol' your comments and share a ****ing chuckle at someone elses expense?

could've been me. what does your bike look like? - saw a few peeps this morning but didn't really register as i was late for work as usual.

  • Particularly lovely pink bike with front blue areospoke and rear red deep V, going west along Old St this morning 8.40 - very striking indeed.

    That passed Bloomsbury about 8:50.

  • Isn't the pink/blue/red bike well known on here?

  • It sounds like The Stylists bike (if it's a pale pink and glittery frame and a baby blue arrospok).

  • Spotted: Thurs 18th Sep. 2100. Great Marlborough St. W1
All Silver (Chrome) fixed (including all silver drop bars). 3 spoke cards.

Was walking with a mate and went "oo-wee".
A girl walking past thought I was talking about her; she realised I wasn't 10 seconds later.
