it wasnt' pretty. He lost some blood but he was conscious and reasonably lucid. Police were on the scene within minutes, paramedics within 7-8 mins, and ambulance took at least 15 mins.

I didn;t see the accident, but was 1 minute behind (in a car). just based on what I could see it looked like a broken nose where he hit the car, and a head wound where he hit the deck. Unfortunate as they have cobbled a strip of road as you cross the side road, which I think he hit quite hard.

think maybe 3 witnesses and the driver stopped.

And yes, I have the prince. 50, let me know when you're out and I'll drop it over to your place mate.

I rocked up just as they were loading him onto the stretcher, claret leaking from his head, but conscious.
Car had mangled bonnet and caved in far side front light.

Heal up Paul. And good work all those who helped out, especially getting the guys plates. When you get better, take him to the cleaners Paul. He'll rue the day he hit Fiddy!

Grrrrrrr. My first bike-vs-car accident happened on Bethnal Green Rd, exact same thing (car from opposite direction suddenly decided to turn right, across my path). I was lucky, escaped with only scrapes and bruises. Same goes for the bike.
