• saw them, led them to a pub and left.
    most are still there now.

  • I'm home now and decided to try a slightly different recovery drink..

  • For me that was epic.
    To all of you thankyou

  • Thanks JayDubYa.. great route and ride. Thanks everyone else.. especially wayne for the kit, bmmf for letting me smoke him up a hill, dogs for not being able to pass a fat alcoholic and falling over on me - proving he's a runner, murtle for letting me laugh at him in pain and setting a cracking pace for someone that only rides to the shops for papers and tabac, all the chicks in Marlow that were gagging for it, everyone who rode today, the cunts in charge of the weather, the train feckers, ya mums, the cows, the sea bass (even the ones without lasers)..

Get some pics and shit up NOW you slack feckers!

  • Great ride. Tired, getting pissed that's all for now....

  • top ride folks. what a route! excellent couple of climbs but fairly flat and fast route. great company, good to see the regulars + meet some fresh faces. top job those who led and pulled the group along (jonny, murts, et al). shame about the stack greasyslag. hope they pop your shoulder in ok.

glad to be home now. showered, fed and bout to tuck into some well deserved ice cream

hope ya'll got home ok without dramas

  • Hello - I tried to ride back from Oxford, and I'm now close to passing out, sitting on a bench in Marlow being taunted by hundreds of distant relatives of Prince Harry, and they keep pointing to a burning wicker construction on the village green. Help me.

  • Does ice cream go well with bourbon?

  • Rob and Jay got the wrong train and are now in Guildford.... It would have been quicker for them to cycle back...

  • bmmf is hallucinating.. it must be his recent hill climb shaming.. hahaha ;)

    Atfu

  • well done guys

  • i decided to cycle back with BMMF, I'm now naked and covered in pig fat and apparently I'm now engaged to the duke of Marlow

  • Duke of Marlow marries Lord of Putneyshire, could there be a more middle class copulation.

  • An all round top time; mashing through idyllic countryside, great company, beautiful weather - massive thanks to Jonny for sorting out a nice varied route to the Dreaming Spires.

I think my highlight remains the two cider riddled tramps outside Richmond who sat on their bench bellowing, "own the road" as we passed them...always nice to have some encouragement

Hope that shoulder is OK Gslag - that was a properly nasty stack

Brought back down to earth with a bump by the ride from Paddington to Lewisham at the end of the day; but a few Stellas and a hearty bowl of pasta are fast restoring my rosy glow

    Bring on the next ride...

  • Wicked ride. I'm not sure what the hell happened to everyone after we left the pub. People trying to ride home and passing out. People getting on the wrong train. People not being able to get on trains at all. Everyone was probably pissed.

  • Yeah, agreed, wicked ride, shame about The Crash, but NO (NO) punctures!, amazing. I sucked big time on hills today, but still, very enjoyable ride, great company and plenty cider after!

  • good ride people, had the strong legs today, nothing like a good nights sleep to sort out the wrongs with your riding world.
@ Lebowski, got kicked off the train by a mardy chunky senior conductor that wouldn't let us on with more than six bikes, Jonny was pissed at the fact he had no wine on the slow train back.
Just tucked into a chicken shawarma from edgware road, smoking a bifter and about to go to bed a happy camper.
Many thanks to all those who came out, the usual suspects plus somebody, sammy dodger, peterd and his mate, and the roadie boys big daddy, hippy, fatboyralph, plus aroogah, hope london to brighton goes well..
As I said before, good ride, nice pace, and only one stack (greasy get well soon) plus no punctures.
If anyone wants to arrange a ride to marlowe for the town regatta next year I'm up for that, like a mofo....

  • I would have posted esrlier but the laptop is dead! had to fire up the minimac to find the forum..

    to summarise ;

    trains= cunt
    bikes= ok

we ended up in guildford, and then to earlsfield, not so bad about an hour out of time..

    bollocks

  • great ride chaps (jonny your a basket............"a few rolling hills")
hope your ok slipperybollox, and heal quick man.
that was a nasty crash,, surprised dogs did a blind superman and survived,
cheers jonnny for sorting it out, even though those hills were bloody sketchy.
good to see bumpf, rob, nimbles, minicooper and a few more feaces :)
    had a good time.
fuck you to the fat dyke on the train.
good laugh geting the slow one back, then a few beers in paddington.

and a lil' thanks to all the poofs on gears :p

  • Good ride Jonny, even though I suffered bad..lol
Some of the scenery was breath taking.
Nice meeting some new peeps and meeting the old.
Hope you are o.k GreasyS and heal well.
    Until the next one!

  • great rides, next time tho more sleep for me, and more food the night before
we had an ok train ride back

I would have posted earlier but just woke up after a very long sleep / hibernation

    great to see everyone there

so whens the next one? 5th or 12th June, or is that too soon

    ps - pics coming soon

  • great ride folks. Though like Flick, I had hardly enough sleep the night before which def had an affect on my legs towards the end. Amazing route with beautiful scenery.
That hill was a killer though.
Nice to meet some more peeps and thanks to jonny for organising.
Hopefully get some video up by tom work permitting. Flick I wont be able to get your tape back to you at east drinks as I forgot Im going to be in spain. The week after I hope.

  • no probs abot the tape pics should go up tonite or 2moro

  • seb, you showed a commendable attitude, rolling in with the tunes on, all mellow.

in contrast to some of our more...quick tempered members..

nimhbus must have slaughtered about 30,000 pedestrians in the outskirts of oxford city centre.

they'll be counting their dead this morning...
