  • a parakeet flew out my fireplace (the estate agents assured us it was blocked up and merely ornamental) on new year's day. pretty fcking weird. but auspicious. london is full of them.

  • where did you get that clip of aidan?

  • how dare you....im english!

  • it looks like this now, I still look the same though...

  • I have just aquired a 50s Claud Butler 531 frame from a friend, it's handy being a lanky bast**d with short friends :-D :-D

This will be built up to replace my Raleigh that just broke recently :-)

  • that's well nice.

  • All right, I know it's bad to speak ill of the dead, but the Claud Butler makes the Raleigh look pretty shit. :-) Lucky you.

  • sweet. what a beauty. good on ya, at least on the looks side that's an obvious upgrade :)

  • I just need a fork, I have a couple of 700c forks in the shed just have to see if they upset the geometry too much :)

  • Finally - what I ride most days...

    ..and Fridays...

  • Fixedwheelnut:
That might just be one of the snazziest paint jobs I've ever seen.
(Looks like a blackberry sorbet (soon to be) on wheels.)

  • yeah mate! that claud butler is niiiiiice

  • worked out nice again fixedwheelnut, that claude is lovely - and it's usually hard to say that about purple bikes.

slack, sweet little ride there. all except the top tube protector thing - i am glad that fad never really took off.

    ..and Fridays...

What's the contraption on the back of your Friday bike? is it a rack extension, or do you fit a wheel to it and make it a trailer?

  • timmy mallet's dyed his hair!

  • @ ChrisNW - It's a 'follow-me' from velorution - it drops down & you stick the front wheel of a kids bike into it, tighten some bolts & the whell lifts up to make a kind of tag-along. The only way I could find to tow 1 kid with another in the seat without buying a triple for £££.

Thank God I only have to go downhill taking them to school.

    Neat.
I've got twins and they'll soon be outgrowing their bike buggy. Have one child seat but was wondering how to tow two kids without going to the expense of one of these Xtracycle things.

It works pretty well - heavy to wheel around, mind - especially with 2 nippers & another bike (although 1 of them can contribute a bit by pedalling). It's quick to attach a bike & take it off again. And the rest of the time you have a relatively normal bike to ride.

  • Thought it's about time I had a go
