Have always liked the idea of using a Saab H engine in a chevette as I like the slant engine like a the lotus engine in the Talbot sumbean or fitted to the HSR.
Mind you I fancy fitting the same engine in a rear wheel drive dolomite or triumph 2000 estate. One of the win the lottery moments.

Are those things still around? I remember when I was a young man I was helping my band manager's mate with marketing material for one he was trying to sell in the UK. They put them in Spitfire engines, didn't they? Burns fuel more efficiently so you can get more bang out of low octane fuel? Did they even work? Just a tube of metal in the fuel line, wasn't it?

I like to imagine you designed and wrote the copy for this website

The guy selling it was a Jamaican car mechanic from Westbourne Grove, we got absolutely munted one night at Finch's on the Portobello Road talking about the product and his plans for world domination. I'd never heard of the thing until that day and hadn't heard mention of it again until @midlife brought it up earlier.
Now that I think about it I really didn't want anything to do with it at the time but my manager begged me to hear the guy out and help him if I could. All we did was get very drunk, which was very fun but ultimately unproductive.

I was thinking of stuff that might cause spluttering , plug gap is one that sprung to mind (the spark can get weaker with increased boost iirc). Was thinking about fuel and for some unknown reason after a delay of 20 years broquet popped up. !

Taking the hire Polestar 2 back to Hertz at Heathrow- as a car it’s ok, but fuck me charging it has been painful. I really wanted to be impressed and I was instead disappointed- chargers that simply didn’t work, some that didn’t exist, and others that required you to download an app that is impossible to access from a phone set to Asia as it’s Apple Account.

I have a polestar 2 and agree charging is rubbish. I only drive places with known trusted chargers.

As a car it’s fine- too small, but if small cars are your thing then that’s not a problem. The dashboard navigation just crashed which was entertaining but it’s only done that once.

Try too small, when you have committed to getting it before going on to have a third kid 🙄

All EVs are worse without home charging. That’s not a fault of the PS2.
-

No, my complaint is that the charging infrastructure is needlessly rubbish.

It was only £314 for two weeks mind- but they didn’t try to get me to keep it

Audi 80 update - 2nd drive out today. Mechanically fine, except for a squeak on release of the clutch, but very intermittently.
Also the heating isn’t working

Air trapped when refilled the cooling system. Is the diverter valve to the heater working? Is it visible in the engine bay or buried in the dash.

Could be
Not sure
No ideaWhat does it look like?

Not sure on your car, I'll Google and see what I can find.
You did have the heater on full when you refilled the system.
Did it work before the pump change.

• #81395
Heater was on full?
-
• #81396
The heater setting in the car set the maximum heat.

Third kid? You need a van. Sorry.

I’m Leeds based - so not that local. Looks interesting tho…I’d also get absolutely chewed out for buying a car off a YouTuber

Not sure, why would that make a difference
Has some clown stuck a broquet in the fuel system? Was a thing with Subaru way back when.
