Merry Xmas, Wests!

Well, a belated Happy New Year.
It's been a while since we visited The Lamb.
Anyone likely to be around this Thursday?@fabfurrymarmots @hamrack @hippy @Sifta

Not I, said the fly.

Not me. I'm afraid Mrs NLL rather inconsiderately has a birthday this weekend and I've got to stay in Kent to enjoy fine dining with her.

Thursday will be at ShepBush Crown & Sceptre, for a range of Fullers beers.
Those subscribed to Fullers online should have received an email offer
'Spin to Win' on the 7th.
My spunwin is a QR code giving me 10% off my 'entire bill'. -

Ever optimistic Thursday lunchtime bump.

Apologies the door was blocked by tumbleweed.
Mark E Smith once proclaimed 'even if its just me and yer Granny on Bongoes,
it'll still be The Fall'.I'm not convinced @Sifta and myself meeting up constitutes a Wests.
Last night we ventured further than @Sifta 's local, the Crown & Sceptre in Shepherds Bush,
and tried the Station House on Churchfield Road Acton.
We had noticed this place 'jumping' back in the Lockdown days of tramp beers
in the adjacent Acton Park. Last night was more subdued, and we found that although
the set up resembles a pub, it is really a restaurant with an upmarket, maybe Fullers-supplied,
range of beers.
Table service only, and a non-negotiable service charge. So with the demise of The Castle, are there any other pubs worth trying in North-ish Acton?
Over to @skydancer @moorhen and @jdmitchThe Grand Junction, next to the canal, probably needs warmer weather to enjoy the vista.

If there's only a couple of ya rockin' up you could sit outside Pint of Hops. They have draught taps.
-
• #27161
We might default to that as the weather improves.
-
• #27162
I think they have some seats inside too. I've only ever sat outside though. Shows how long since I've been though.

• #27163
It's not the widest of pavements at that section of Churchfield Road.

Three months have passed,
and,
an optimist might assert that the 'warm weather is here'.

Yeah, I'll probably be at the beer festival this year. I think I was there every day last year.
But I'm kinda busy so might only do like a Wednesday or something.

Just for the avoidance of doubts, Wests Drinks would also like to make it clear they also boycotted the below:

It was unanimous.
We also boycott West beers -

I would shout 'Anybody here', but even the echo has left.
Wests hasn't happened for a couple of weeks,
but,
last Thursday did see me dropping in on @NorthLondonLight in South Acton.
I was cycling home, around 22.45, at the White Hart roundabout on the A312 and the Ruislip Road.
Pulling away from the last set of lights on the roundabout, a car went over a bit of debris that made a different sound to that expected from a bit of rogue sheet metal or broken light cluster.
Just exitting the roundabout I saw a high spec Corsa at a jaunty angle in the bus stop layby.
Cycling past it, I noted the drivers' side front wheel was deflated, but more deformed than from just a flat tyre. Sure enough there was a chunk, (secant?), of the alloy wheel missing.
Hard to see/ guess what the driver had hit to do that much damage.
