Someone brought a Mariage Frères Earl Grey Imperial into work about a year ago and every earl grey I've drunk since then seems lacking.

French tea...you disgust me. Tea is English....or is it tea bags.

An ex-collegue of mine whose wife was Chinese used to lose his shit if you ever said tea was English.
It was great sport to ask if anyone had a Yorkshire tea bag spare.

Those Yorkshire tea fields....none of that foreign muck. Have been told, by a random in Tesco's while I was in the tea isle, that Yorkshire tea is the best tea, as it isn't foreign muck.

We grow it over the road from the rhubarb - as you drive on the A1-M1 link; rhubarb left, tea right.

Quite the hill to die on by your ex-colleague. Obviously incredibly proud of China’s… erm… tea growing contribution to the world.

There is tea grown in the UK! Recently found out(after the Yorkshire tea), tea gardens (why not a plantation) are in Cornwall, Wales and Scotland too. They sell enough to be commercially viable!
Still love the story of how tea was found by a leaf falling in to a cup of hot water.

Looked up how much some of that Cornish grown tea is, made my eyes water

Guessed as much, but thought hand picking is the way to get the perfect leaf ripeness for what is needed

We have the 6.9l kitchenaid but it gets used multiple times a week for making sourdough for us and some neighbours
