Fusion 360 is good and is well supported online. There are a few free alternatives worth considering - Onshape runs in a browser so will work on any old hardware, and Solid Edge Community Edition is good if you're looking for a package that will run without an internet connection.

Perfect, thank you!

I wonder what the legal implication is of designating a 'safe place' for deliveries (behind bin/in porch)?
-
• #122658
I imagine if you declare somewhere ‘safe’ then you’re saying it’s the same as it going through the letterbox. I don’t do that for that reason.
Often I’ll get a courier note that’s it been left in a safe place, with a pic behind a bin/shrub etc, but I’d be fairly confident their view of that wouldn’t hold water if it was nicked -

Safeplaces do not supersede the CRA, they merely may facilitate the goods into a customer's possession. If anything goes awry, that argument is once again between the retailer and courier.

Interesting, thank you. Do you know if there has been tested in small claims or similar?
-
• #122661
I'm sure I've read it somewhere, will try and dig it out.
I've certainly used that specific part of the CRA to great success, even recently with a friend who had a phone delivery from Google that DPD claimed to leave outside his door.

Yes. I'm following the complaints procedure on their site, i.e. first complain to the responsible dept. Then a formal complaint to the council. https://www.lambeth.gov.uk/about-council/contact-us/make-complaint
I emailed admin.lambethpound@apcoa.com on June 24. I'm giving them 20 working days to respond. My email:
Complaint about disposal of motorcycle M133 MPE.
As you know, my motorcycle was recently stolen. Then it was abandoned by the thief, then recovered and disposed of by ALCOA. Councils have a statutory duty to write to vehicle owners before disposal. ALCOA did not write to me. I spoke to an ALCOA representative on the phone who confirmed that ALCOA had been told by Met Police that the bike was stolen (and therefore not abandoned by the owner). He also said that ALCOA did not write to me because the bike had no number plate. ALCOA's duty was to obtain the keeper's address by reading the frame number or engine number. This is a simple task which can be completed in two minutes. The bike's value was over £5,000. (It was 29 years old, had done under 4,000 miles and was in excellent condition.) I would like compensation please. -

Am I allowed to box in my outside bins if they’re on the pavement? The only other neighbours who have done it have space inside their front gardens for it, which we don’t have. It’s weirdly hard to google. We’re in Lewisham.

• #122667
No and they couldn’t be left on the pavement either. But…

• #122668
Found it. What do I win?

I've only ever watched a couple of Bear Grills, but want to show some to my kid. Do they all have piss drinking or are some of them age appropriate?
Cheers

Some mother fucking rep, that's what!
Outstanding work 👏

Bear Grylls is a loon
Have you watched any Ray Mears stuff he is more work with nature not fight it.
-
• #122674
That's a good point. It's just that Bear is the Cheif scout or something.

My step brother works with Bear Grylls occasionally. Apparently he will not stop chugging piss by the litre.
